Story
Meet Dolly – Your Quiet Shadow with a Big Heart Dolly is a shy little soul who’s still figuring out the world, but once she feels safe, her loving nature shines through. She’s the kind of dog who doesn’t ask for much—just a cozy spot near you and a gentle hand to remind her she’s okay. Dolly absolutely adores attention and will happily soak it up, but what she loves most is simply being near her person. If you sit down, she’s right there. If there’s a heater nearby? Even better. She appears to be housebroken and is very well-mannered indoors. Leash training is still a work in progress—leashes are scary for her right now—but with patience, kindness, and time, she’ll continue to gain confidence. Dolly is much more of a “homebody” than an adventurer and would thrive in a calm, predictable environment. We think Dolly could do well with other dogs, especially gentle ones, and having a canine companion might even help her come out of her shell. That said, she’d prefer a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is comfortable. At the end of the day, Dolly’s favorite activity is relaxing—curled up beside you, stretched out near a warm heater, just enjoying the peace. If you’re looking for a sweet, quiet companion who will be your constant, loving presence, Dolly may be the perfect match. She doesn’t need a busy life—just a soft place to land and someone to love. 💕🐾

Story
Candy has a unique look - unless you count her nearly identical sisters! These distinctive girls have ears the better to hear you with and tails that act like rudders when they run - and they are built to run, athletic and active. Intelligent and sensitive, the girls are overwhelmed at the confusing shelter and need time to understand new situations. Having been abandoned and on their own, they are just cautious like that. Candy is a bit more of a free thinker than her sisters. She knows what she wants, and while mostly she wants treats, she also wants some independence. She is the last one to learn 'sit' (didn't wanna!), but does walk nicely on leash and crates up when asked. She is more ready to explore and do her thing. Still, she wants to enter into a fair relationship with new people who are respectful and looking for a partner, not a baby. She has struggled to make new dog friends at the shelter, mainly because of the environment - she has been fine in less stressful situations. Est DOB: May 2022 * Est weight: 48# * Breed unknown - guess based on looksDecember 25, 2025, 3:33 pm

Intelligent and sensitive, the girls are overwhelmed at the confusing shelter and need time to understand new situations. Having been abandoned and on their own, they are just cautious like that. Sandy in particular has a big 'stranger danger bark,' but don't let that deter you. She is just asking you to slow your roll and take this friendship-building at her pace. Yummy smelly treats are on her 'yes' list! She is very loyal to her friends and looks to her people for support. She learns quick, knows sit and has good crate and leash manners. Story
Meet Jessica! Jessica is a beautiful, sweet-tempered girl who thrives in open spaces and sunshine. While small, enclosed areas can make her anxious, she’s a calm and loyal shadow in wide-open spaces—happily following her person around without ever getting in the way. She’s perfectly content sharing her yard with other dogs, especially if she gets time to do her all-important sniff patrol. Jessica isn’t much of a snuggler, but she absolutely loves chin and neck scratches—and she’ll happily lean in for more! This water-loving girl believes no puddle, pool, or muddy spot should go unplayed in. She walks wonderfully on leash and knows sit, come, and no—especially if you’ve got a treat or kind word in hand. If you're looking for a low-maintenance, independent sweetheart who’s happiest outdoors and loyal to her person, Jessica could be your perfect match.
