Story
Huey is a loyal, loving dog who enjoys car rides, pup cups, hiking, dog parks, fetch, and chewing bones. He loves people and cats, often curling up nearby for naps. He has moderate energy—vocal in the mornings and when you return home, but calm by evening. He is well-trained, does not jump on people or furniture, and knows basic commands like sit, stay, lay down, and heel. He is house and crate trained with a flexible sleep schedule.Just over a year old, Huey enjoys walks up to 2 miles and prefers short trails, open fields, and rivers. He does well with cats, medium / large dogs, and children but not small dogs. He may be slow to warm up but becomes playful once comfortable.Huey has some separation anxiety (whining/howling) and may growl when anxious on walks. He needs continued socialization. Due to medical limitations, we can’t give him the active life he deserves and are seeking a loving, attentive home.He comes with all his toys, his bed, harness & leash and his food + treats.

Gumbo is a 79-pound bundle of pure sweetness, a mix of American Bulldog and German Shorthair Pointer. He's a true triple-threat...handsome, goofy, and athletic! Gumbo is already ahead of the game when it comes to training! He’s a proud graduate of our PAWs to Prison program, where he mastered an incredible 22 commands — everything from “heel” to “go to bed” and even “hide and seek!" Here's what his trainer had to say about him:  Gumbo is a big goofball wrapped up in a very calm and chill exterior. His Pointer side is very evident in his tendency to focus so intently on some thing that it is sometimes hard to get his attention back. He can be like a six-year old kid watching cartoons. He hears you, but is daydreaming about what he is looking at. This loss of focus makes training a task at times, but it will not effect his future as a great pet. And, he is a truly, truly great pet. We worked on his self control quite a bit, and have gotten to the point where we can toss a toy and he will wait to be released to get it. This was huge for him! He LOVES toys! We also have worked on his "Give It" command to hand over toys, but we still have to have a treat in hand at the time. He does eventually give over toys without "fighting", but he likes to hold in to them. Otherwise, he has no other unwanted behaviors. He has been tested around livestock, specifically goats, and he did great! He gets a bit excited but learned to leave them alone after a short bit. FRANKIE DOB: 09/04/2013* This is Frankie. He is looking for his forever home. What a beauty boy. One blue eye, one brown. High energy. Alpha male. Gets along with other properly introduced dogs. Neutered, current on vaccinations, crate trained, house broken, knows some basic obedience, good on a leash. Super fun boy! Loves his toys and will usually bring them to you to play. NO CATS! All of animals are up to date on their vaccinations, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and have had a physical exam. At adoption we provide; veterinary records and vaccine certificates, castration certificate, lifetime lost animal support, leash, collar, ID tag, and a familiar toy or blanket to help them settle in. We also keep in contact and try to help with any issues that may need to be additional support. Adoption Requirements: Application, Interview, Home Check Adoption Fee: $200.00 *Age is always a guess with rescue dogs but here at Paw Printz we believe everyone should have a birth day so when the vet guesses at their age, we work out what would be a good birthday for each dog and make it so!
