Ricotta is a 9-year-old German Shorthair Pointer mix who is currently with her original family, but who now needs a new home. The small children in our household tend to make her tense and nervous, and this is not the best life for her or for our kids. Ricotta is spayed, weighs between 30-35 lbs, and is an energetic girl. She loves being outdoors where she can sniff, explore, go on walks, and interact with her person. She loves one-on-one attention, so she would do well as an only dog. And no kids, please. It is difficult for us to make this decision, but we feel it is in Ricotta’s best interests. We have tried working with a trainer as well as other options, but we feel we have exhausted all avenues and that Ricotta would live her best life in an adult-only home where she is the only dog who can thrive on the love and attention lavished on her. Ricotta currently lives in in south Orange County, but we are happy to meet a potential adopter in San Diego or midway for a meet and greet. Tebow turned 1 in December. He has been with us since he was 8 weeks. We purchased him from a breeder in Tracy, CA. He is incredibly loving, and like a true GSP, is part human and doesn't understand personal space. He loves being under blankets. Tebow is also very intelligent and energetic. He is great off a leash, we are working on a harness for walks.

Rehoming due to relocating to another town. Looking for someone in CA, willing to drive. I have a GSP mix male (neutered) who just turned 2 this past November. Dad was purebred GSP, mom was mutt from pound. My husband unfortunately was part of a mass company layout (the oilfield he worked for for the last 10 years was bought out by another company and they let go 80% of the company). With that we are having to relocated to the Bay for a new job, we will have to be renting and unfortunately we can only take one with us with my ESA letter so we are taking our senior German shepherd to prevent him from ending up in a pound.
