You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This companion animal is available through the CVRR 'Home to Home' program. All dogs or cats is this program are the property of the current owner/guardian. CVRR makes no guarantees regarding the health or temperament of said animal. All communication regarding this animal must be directed to the posted owner/guradian. CVRR receives no compensation for this listing. Susie was left near my house six months ago and has been living outside my fenced acre. She seems in good health, was spayed a month ago and given rabies and first parvo shots. She has had some interaction with other dogs and cats when on a leash and appears to want to play more than anything. Has been fine with both men, women, and strangers just shy at first.  Has not been around children in the six months I have had her.  I have worked on leash training and some simple commands like sit and come with success.  We are still working on riding in the car. She is nervous about the whole experience.   I would describe Susie as a sweet spirited girl that needs far more attention than I can give her at the age of 74 and already caring for four dogs and eight cats. She needs wide open spaces and a job to do.  Her greatest pleasure comes from long walks, bounding across open spaces chasing birds, and playing . Could she be the perfect companion for you? If so give me a call , text, or voicemail at :  Nora Betry (559) 544-5653         Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 22, 2026, 3:55 pm

Story
Huey is a loyal, loving dog who enjoys car rides, pup cups, hiking, dog parks, fetch, and chewing bones. He loves people and cats, often curling up nearby for naps. He has moderate energy—vocal in the mornings and when you return home, but calm by evening. He is well-trained, does not jump on people or furniture, and knows basic commands like sit, stay, lay down, and heel. He is house and crate trained with a flexible sleep schedule.Just over a year old, Huey enjoys walks up to 2 miles and prefers short trails, open fields, and rivers. He does well with cats, medium / large dogs, and children but not small dogs. He may be slow to warm up but becomes playful once comfortable.Huey has some separation anxiety (whining/howling) and may growl when anxious on walks. He needs continued socialization. Due to medical limitations, we can’t give him the active life he deserves and are seeking a loving, attentive home.He comes with all his toys, his bed, harness & leash and his food + treats.
