Story
Meet Saxon! 🐾💙
Saxon is a 3-month-old puppy with a big personality, endless puppy energy, and a serious love for toys! He is an adventurous, active little guy who loves being outside, playing with his people, and following them wherever they go.
If you had to describe Saxon in three words, they would be cuddly, active, and adventurous.
🐾 Saxon's Personality
Saxon is a very active puppy who is always ready to play. He gets the zoomies regularly and loves having room to run and explore.
He is also a little shadow—wherever you go, Saxon wants to follow! He loves attention and enjoys being around his people.
Despite all that puppy energy, Saxon is surprisingly good at recognizing when it's time to rest. He will sometimes put himself in his crate when he wants some downtime, and at the end of the night, he knows when bedtime is approaching and heads to his bed or crate to settle in.
🎾 A Toy Lover!
Saxon's favorite thing in the entire world might just be TOYS!
He loves playing with his toys, being chased, and running after his people. He also enjoys playing fetch, although he hasn't quite figured out the important part about bringing the toy back yet! 😂
He enjoys treats and, of course, loves spending time outside.
🏡 Saxon's Dream Home
Saxon would love a home with:
- A secure fenced yard where he can run and play
- Plenty of opportunities for exercise and play
- Lots of toys
- A comfortable, fluffy bed
- A family who wants an active and playful puppy
- Someone who is willing to continue his training
A family that enjoys being outside would be especially wonderful for Saxon. He needs a place where he can safely burn off his puppy energy and enjoy all those famous zoomies!
🎓 Training
Saxon is a typical 3-month-old puppy and is still learning his manners.
He needs continued house and potty training and will need patience and consistency from his forever family.
He is also learning basic commands such as sit, "let's go outside," and "let's go to bed."
Saxon is doing well with crate training. He is currently crated when his foster leaves and has also been using the crate as a place to settle down. When he's not crated, his foster uses a baby gate to safely contain him in the kitchen.
His adopter should be prepared for all the normal puppy behaviors—including chewing, zoomies, accidents, and lots of learning!
💤 Being Home Alone
Saxon is usually around people, but he does well when left alone for shorter periods. He may whine a little and possibly bark once or twice, but he settles much better when he has toys to keep him occupied.
👧👦 Saxon & Kids
Saxon is great with kids and loves to play!
He has especially bonded with his foster's 11-year-old son.
Because Saxon is a very energetic puppy, he would likely do best with children who understand how to interact appropriately with a young, excitable dog. His foster recommends children 2 years and older.
One thing his foster has noticed is that Saxon may bark at babies, so a home with very young children should take that into consideration.
🌎 New Places
Saxon may be a little shy when he first arrives somewhere new, but he warms up as he becomes comfortable.
Once he settles in, his playful and loving personality comes out!
❤️ Why Saxon?
Saxon is a loving, happy, fun puppy who will keep his family laughing with his zoomies, toy obsession, and silly puppy antics.
He loves to play, loves attention, loves being outside, and loves following his people around. And when he's finally worn himself out, he's happy to curl up and rest.
Saxon is looking for a family who understands that raising a puppy takes time, patience, consistency, supervision, and training—but who is also ready for all the fun and unconditional love that comes with it.
If you're looking for an active, playful puppy who will keep you entertained, follow you everywhere, and fill your home with love and zoomies, Saxon might be your guy! 🐾💙
