At 10 years old, Stella is proof that age is just a number. This gorgeous German Shorthair Pointer still has pep in her step, joy in her heart, and enough enthusiasm to power a small village. She’s the perfect medium-sized best friend — big enough for adventures, small enough to fit nicely on your couch (or directly on top of you). Stella’s life motto is simple: “Wherever you go, I go.” Need a walking buddy? She’s ready. Going for a car ride? Shotgun is her seat. Just trying to sit on the couch? Perfect — she’ll be there in 0.3 seconds. She is what we lovingly call a Grade-A Velcro Dog. If loyalty were an Olympic sport, Stella would have a gold medal, a parade, and her face on a cereal box. Murphy was dumped at a park. Checked with neighbors, for chip, and posted him but no one ever claimed him. We got his fleas taken care of, back to a healthy weight, UTD on shots, fixed and microchipped. With our recent move to a very small yard with a fence he can jump, 2 dogs of our own, 2 young kids with a baby on the way, and a dog that needs more attention, exercise and training than we can give him we are seeking out the right forever home for this sweet boy! Murphy is very athletic, he loves to go for walks and hikes, LOVES to cuddle up, and is loyal and attentive to his people. He will attempt backyard escapes if he can and sneak into the trash if you’re not paying attention. He also used to have a problem marking in our old house but it had old carpet in it with previous pet smells. After getting fixed and moving to a home with laminate he hasn’t done that. Murphy will make a great companion for someone ready to give him the time and attention he needs!

Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato.
