Story
Hey guys! Wrangler here from GLDR! I'm a three-year-old, 50-pound Pointer/Aussie mix who arrived at GLDR in January! Sadly, I haven't had any interest and was struggling at the kennel. Thankfully, a wonderful foster family stepped up and I've been loving life with them while I wait patiently for my family to bring me home. I'm currently living with my foster parents and my fellow canine fur sister. I get along very well with my fur sister and we have a blast playing together. I've been told I have an all-in playstyle and would love to have a fellow pouncing pal. Do you have a family fur baby you'd like me to meet? Just say the word and I'm there! While I adore my dog sibling, I do have the tendency to chase smaller animals, so a cat-free home with no small animals would be best for me. I'm very proud to report that I'm both house-trained and crate-trained! I know how to "sit" and "shake" and would benefit from continued training with my new family. Did you say "treat"? I do appreciate a tasty morsel and take them gently. When it's time to play, I enjoy all sorts of toys, with crinkle/squeakers being my favorite. My family is able to take food/toys away with no issue. I have a ball cruising the yard and rolling around in the grass, hoping for a belly rub. I absolutely live to explore and my foster family was very impressed with my recall. My leash skills are also improving everyday. A large yard for me to enjoy at my new home is a must and I'll thrive with daily exercise and enrichment. Up for a road trip? I'm game! I do great in the car and am excited for all the places we can go together. I was thrilled when I got to go on adventure up north with my foster family. So much to see and smell! Who knew I could have so much fun? Everyone loves when I wiggle my little nub and I hope it'll bring a smile to your face too. At the end of a fun-filled day, I'm always up for a snuggle on the couch with my family. I love to give my family gentle nose kisses to let them know just how much I appreciate them. When it's time for bed, I sleep quietly through the night in my crate, thankful that they opened their home to me. Based on their evaluation, my GLDR friends think I'd do best in a home with adults or families with kids ages five and up. If I sound like your kind of fellow, head to greatlakesdogrescue.com today and submit an application today!

Story
Axel~birth~September 2019Axel is looking for a new home without small children. His owner has provided this info:Axel is a loyal and committed companion. He lives for his owner. He loves playing chase and fetch and will impress you with his jumps and speed when you toss him the tennis ball. He is incredibly treat motivated and obedient. Some of his favorite hobbies are squirrel and bird watching, laying outside sunbathing, hiking/walks, and chewing on bones. He also enjoys boat rides and is an excellent swimmer.Axel is very well house trained. He is trained to use bells when he needs to go outside. Axel knows all basic commands and some fun commands too like speak, shake and even sneeze! He likes to have his own space and will need a home without children. He does well with other dogs but needs time to warm up. He does not currently live with another pet and this breed typically does not do well with smaller animals like cats.Rehoming because he has shown reactivity with small children. Only kid free homes will be considered. An experienced adopter would be ideal for him. He needs a large yard. A fence would be ideal but he has been successful in an electric fence as well. He weighs about 60 pounds._____The adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccinations, heartworm test, spay/neuter and microchip! Please use these links for our:Online Adoption Application: paawarren.org/adopt/adoption-application-formWebsite for details, info: paawarren.org

Story
This is Katie. She and her brother, Cooper have been tossed around from rescue to rescue and living in kennels for over a year! First springer rescue got them and left them in a kennel for months before deciding they weren't springers and then someone else stepped up but they stayed in a kennel again. We have had them now and are working with them. They are so sweet and happy! Katie walks well on a leash and is housetrained. She is spayed, UTD on all vaccines and is HW neg. We are so desperate to find these babies a loving home to live out their lives in that we are cutting the adoption fee in half but they must stay together. So the fee would be $550 for BOTH. Please consider them! You will not regret it. Please email omlc7@hotmail.com and we will send our info and application. They are used to being outside a lot so a fenced yard is a requirement.
