Story
Meet Perry! 🐾 Breed: Pointer Mix Personality: Sweet, Sensitive, Loving & Endearing About Perry Perry is a sweet, sensitive soul who wants nothing more than to make his humans happy. While he can be anxious in new situations, once he feels safe and comfortable, his true personality shines through! He turns into a total loving goofball who loves making deep eye contact, following you everywhere, and being your shadow. He is extraordinarily eager to please and forms a deep connection with his people. Perry knows his basic obedience commands—like sit, down, and shake—and responds wonderfully to verbal corrections. He also walks decently on a leash! Being a true pointer mix, Perry follows his nose everywhere, keeping it to the ground and pointing at bunnies. One of his absolute favorite activities is running alongside a four-wheeler—as soon as he sees it get turned on, he bounces around with pure excitement and does his best to keep up!  Perry also absolutely loves car rides! He is wonderfully polite in the car, doesn't get car sick, and is just thrilled to ride along and be by your side on any adventure. Good with Other Pets & Family Other Dogs: Perry loves being around other dogs. He is submissive and handles snarky or resource-guarding behaviors by simply walking away or giving space.  Cats & Farm Animals: Perry has done great learning about farm life! He leaves cats alone, does fantastic around goats, and is fine with chickens. (Note: He does still have a natural prey drive for small wild animals like bunnies).  People & Kids: He has learned to adore the preschool-aged granddaughter and her mom when they visit! Perry’s Ideal Home & Routine Because Perry is sensitive and prone to initial anxiety, he needs a patient, dog-savvy home that understands his needs: A Well-Balanced Resident Dog: Having a confident, steady dog friend is key to helping settle Perry’s anxiety and giving him a guide as he learns new routines. A Slow Transition Period: Changes—especially moving into a new home—can be overwhelming for him. Perry needs a longer "shutdown period" to decompress and settle in without being flooded by new people, busy outings, or big adventures right away. An Understanding, Advocating Family: Perry needs a family who can read subtle dog body language, understand his anxiety cues, and advocate for him appropriately. With clear boundaries, gentle verbal guidance, and time to adjust, any anxious behaviors melt away. House & Crate Manners: Perry is fully house-trained, keeps his kennel clean, and is wonderfully quiet in his crate! If you’re a patient, loving family looking for a devoted companion who will look at you with all the love in the world, Perry is ready to find his forever home! ❤️ Perry’s adoption fee is $400 plus MN tax which covers his neuter, vaccinations, microchip and any additional medical care he may have needed while in the rescue’s care. We are a foster based rescue, we do not house dogs at a facility. Age and breed are NLR's best guess as we often don't know who or what mom and dad are. Story
Retta came into our home when her first owner was experiencing a divorce had no other options. She is very sweet and gets excited for any attention, treats, or even a good cuddle! She has been amazing with our unruly 4 year old who struggles with epilepsy and cognitive delays we are still working tofigure out. With both parents in the home working long hours, all the special needs and medical visits for the youngest and other kids doing sports and school things, poor Retta is confined to her kennel far more than is fair. She is great with other dogs, and we often have the neighbor dogs show up in the backyard for some treats and play time. She is gentle with the kitties. I work in a vet clinic and she frequently comes along to hang out socializing with all kinds of other people, pets, and acclimated easily to new situations. We have not tried hunting with her yet, but she does great with gunshots and has a high drive for birds so I truly think she would excel quickly in a hunters home.

Story
🐾 ROCKO: PART-TIME ADVENTURER, FULL-TIME LOVE BUG! ❤️ Looking for a guy who’s equally happy riding shotgun OR taking over the couch? Meet Rocko! 😆 According to his foster Janet, Rocko LOVES riding in the buggy — especially shotgun! 🚙 He’s also a big fan of car rides, pup cups, people, other animals…and, apparently, FOOD. 😂 But there’s so much more to love about this sweet boy: 🐾 Housebroken & crate trained ❤️ Loves people and other animals 🐴 Doesn’t bother livestock 🍪 Takes treats very gently 🚗 Excellent adventure companion 🛋️ A little bit of a couch potato 🥰 And quite possibly the BIGGEST LOVE BUG EVER! And when Rocko decides it’s time to play? Instead of running through the meadow like a normal dog, he likes to JUMP his way around it. 😂 A few zoomies or a nice walk, and he’s perfectly happy heading back inside to relax with his people. Rocko is always happy, incredibly sweet, and has lots and lots of love waiting for a family of his own. Maybe his favorite next ride could be the one that takes him HOME. 🏡❤️
