Story
Hello! I am a young, handsome guy. I was surrendered to the shelter when my owner could no longer care for me. I am energetic and strong like many young dogs, so I`ll need someone that can handle me and help me exercise/walk routinely to help direct my energy. My previous owner reports that I have done well with cats & dogs in the past, but OCAS always recommends slow, monitored introductions to other pets so that everyone stays safe. Visit this page for more information about properly introducing pets. I`ll make a great addition to the right home!INSIGHTS FROM MY FRIENDS:`Goose is an energetic, highly intelligent, overall sweet sweet boy! After running around in the play yard and practicing some new tricks (his absolute favorite thing), he settled down for some pets and cuddle time then sat very pretty for his picture. Such a very good boy!``We had a great time hiking with Goose at Carolina North Forest. He is a naturally happy and cheerful boy, and wagged his tail throughout the hike. He loves being outdoors and getting exercise and also clearly loves being with people. He was pretty good on the leash and only pulled hard when he wanted to meet other people or dogs who passed us. He seemed to especially want to meet and play with other dogs. We tried running with him and he loved it and ran straight down the trail. I think he would make an excellent running partner. Goose is also super sweet and affectionate and made a point of turning back to interact with us periodically during the hike. On the way back to the shelter he lay down and laid his head on my lap. He is a beautiful dog and more importantly, has an amazing personality. He will add lots of love and joy to some lucky family.``Goose was such a good boy on a short adventure today! He hopped right in the car and seemed to enjoy the ride. We went on a hike at Cedar Falls where he loved making new friends and exploring. We stopped for a pup cup before heading back. He relaxed in the car while still wanting to be close to his people up front.``Goose is pretty fun. High energy, great running partner. Gets excited and loves activity. Does try and bolt off in a different direction than you occasionally, but can definitely be redirected.`
