Story
Oatley is a beautiful dog with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She is playful, affectionate, and loves to cuddle once she’s had a chance to burn off her energy. She is very high-energy and thrives when she has space to run and play. Oatley is fully potty trained and crate trained. She knows basic commands like sit and stay, and she does well with structure and routine. She has lived around dogs and children and can do well, on her terms. However, she does have some behavioral challenges that require an experienced owner. Oatley struggles with resource guarding and will guard her food, toys, bed, and sleeping areas. She has never bitten anyone but will growl to communicate when she feels uncomfortable. She also experiences anxiety during car rides, thunderstorms, and fireworks. Oatley would do best in: - An adult-only home - Someone experienced with dogs, especially high-energy working breeds - A home with a fenced yard - An owner committed to continued training
