Colleton County for intake but anyone is allowed to adopt from our shelter.

Colleton County Animal Shelter's adoption process

1.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

2.

Sign Adoption Contract

Our adoption contract requires you to take care of the pet and agree to return to our shelter if the pet doesn't fit your situation.

3.

Pay Fee

Our standard adoption rates are $150 for puppies (6 mos and under) $90 for dogs and $70 for cats.

4.

Take the Pet Home

and receive more love than you can imagine!

Prospective adopters must present a valid picture ID and complete the adoption application.
Puppy Adoption Fee $150 (6 mos and under)
Dog Adoption Fee $90
Cat Adoption Fee $70
