Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Brody is a handsome 2-year-old purebred German Shorthaired Pointer with a resilient spirit and a fun-loving personality. After being hit by a car, he’s made a full recovery and is now thriving, ready to enjoy life to the fullest. Brody has a great balance of energy—he’s happy to relax and hang out like an overgrown lap dog, but in the blink of an eye, he’s off doing joyful zoomies around the yard. His playful nature really shines when he’s with other dogs, as he absolutely loves having canine friends to romp around with. He’s both potty trained and crate trained, and he already knows many basic commands, making him a well-mannered and eager companion. Brody’s affectionate side makes him just as happy cuddling up as he is playing, giving you the best of both worlds. With his recovery behind him and his bright personality shining through, Brody is ready to bring energy, love, and a whole lot of fun into his forever home.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 21, 2026, 12:11 pm

Story
Meet Shelby — equal parts athlete and champion lounger. Shelby is a female German Shorthaired Pointer mix who has mastered the art of balance. While she loves a good play session with her dog friends, she is not a high-energy or hyper dog. In fact, most of the day you’ll find her happily snoozing or curled up beside you on the couch, soaking in the quiet moments. Shelby needs to live with other dogs, ideally another large, confident dog who enjoys companionship and play. She can be sensitive around food if another dog challenges her, something that likely stems from spending a long time in a shelter environment where meals didn’t always feel predictable. With a calm, respectful canine housemate and a consistent routine, she settles in beautifully and has lived with dogs of all sizes. Strong, athletic, and all muscle, Shelby will thrive with an adopter who appreciates her strength and can continue working on her leash skills. She’ll also need a secure yard with a minimum 6-foot fence, as she can clear anything shorter with ease. Shelby is wonderfully smart and enjoys using her brain. She would excel in nose work, scent games, or other activities that give her a sense of purpose. Afterward, she’s more than happy to trade action for affection and cuddle up close. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who brings both calm companionship and playful spirit, Shelby is ready to make herself at home. 🐾
