Story
SNOOP- DOB: 02/27/25, 8 months old, Good with kids, cats, and dogs. Playful, Loving, Sweet, Young. Responds well to his name. Attentive. Nickname: Snooper Dooper (Responds to that too LOL) Snoop was surrendered on 09/27 due to housing issues.  His original owner stated he is able to free roam the home, sleeping wherever his heart desires (on floor, owners bed, couch, chair, dog bed, etc.)  He loves ALL toys, ball, frisbee, plush, squeaker, and tug. He was leash walked twice a day but also able to free roam in a yard. He is crate trained and house trained, He would have an accident inside of the home if he was left alone for 10 hours while owner was at work.  He loves playing with other dogs, knows sit, lay down, and no. He loves to train and is very food motivated.  Snoop was adopted 30 minutes after he was surrendered but was returned 10/10 due to being too energetic around a 1 year old baby.  They stated he was a great dog with them as well. Happy, Playful, Energetic, PUPPY! They explained he would be great with kids that can play back with him, not an infant.  He is now back with us, enjoying his time with the other dogs in playgroup, but hoping he doesn't have to be here very long. This is no place for a youngster to be living out their puppy life.  Come meet Snooper Dooper today! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 13, 2025, 6:00 pm

Story
Meet Violet Louise 💜🐾 Violet Louise is an 8-month-old German Shorthaired Pointer mix who is as sweet as she is beautiful. While many GSPs are known for their endless energy, Violet is a bit of a unicorn — she has a more easygoing, balanced personality that makes her a wonderful companion for a variety of homes. She absolutely loves people and is always happy to make new friends, greeting everyone with a wagging tail and a gentle, affectionate nature. Violet also gets along great with other dogs and enjoys having canine buddies to play and hang out with. Violet Louise would thrive in a home that can give her love, companionship, and moderate activity — she’s happy to play, explore, and then settle in for some quality cuddle time. She’s the perfect mix of fun and calm, making her an ideal addition for someone looking for a well-rounded pup. If you’re looking for a friendly, loving dog without the over-the-top energy, Violet Louise might just be your perfect match. 💕🐶

Story
He arrived looking less like a dog and more like a cautionary tale about what happens if you ignore moisturizer for several consecutive lifetimes. Korben was, quite literally, flaking away, like if you took a perfectly good dog and replaced 30% of him with dust and discomfort. But here’s the part that really got us -- On the drive to Animal Aid Society, this 45-pound, pointy-nosed pointer mix, who had every reason to file a formal complaint against the universe, curled up in his transporter’s lap. Just folded himself in there like, “Yes, this seems correct.” And every so often, he’d look up at her with this soft, adoring expression, as if to say, “I assume you're taking me somewhere better, and I've decided to believe in that.”Fast forward a few medicated baths and antibiotics, and Korben has undergone a transformation. The dust is settling, literally, and what’s left is a healthy, 6-year-old, 45-pound bundle of pure, wiggly joy.And the smile. We need to talk about the smile. This dog appears to be smiling at all times. Not in a creepy, “I know something you don’t know” way. More like he's just remembered that life includes snacks, soft beds, and people who think he's wonderful (which, to be clear, he is).Korben is affectionate, snuggly, and enthusiastically committed to the belief that every human and dog he meets is his new best friend. What Korben needs now is a home, preferably one with people who appreciate a dog who'll greet them like they're returning heroes from a long and perilous journey (even if they just went to check the mail). He has already done the hard part: believing things could get better. Now he just needs someone to prove him right.Animal Aid Society is located at 80 Butler Farm Road in Hampton, VA, and visiting hours are from 9am to noon, every single day - including weekends and holidays.Interested? Come for a visit any day of the week - 365 days a year between 9am - 12pm. Hope to see you soon!PLEASE NOTE: Animal Aid Society observes a 40 mile adoption radius to facilitate post adoption support and follow ups.
