Story
Bindi is blossoming daily! Shes basically the perfect puppy. Extremely intelligent shes learning all the good behaviors from her foster brother and absolutely thriving. Shes affectionate and loves cuddling but can just as easily settle on her own. Shes already learned no and sit and is doing extremely well on house and crate training. With consistency and training she will be the best dog! As a high-drive working breed (GSP), Bindi's successful integration into a permanent home is contingent on meeting her daily mental and physical stimulation thresholds.Failure to provide these will likely lead to destructive behaviors. Her future handler must commit to: Physical Outlets:Daily structured walks and high-intensity physical engagement (e.g., utilize aflirt pole to satisfy her natural prey drive). Cognitive Conditioning:Implement daily mental exercises, includingpuzzle toysand structuredsniff trainingto engage her scent-tracking instincts. Adoption fees are $350 unless otherwise stated. Senior dog adoption fees are $200. 100% of adoption fees are put back into the rescue so that another lonely and neglected dog can be rescued. We are grateful for your interest. Upon approval, the adoption fee is non-refundable. The fee includes the following: de-worming; heartworm, lymes, ehrlichia and anaplasmosis testing; all vaccinations including rabies; flea and tick treatment, microchipping and spay/neuter. Want to meet ME?* Come to our adoption event this weekend: Sunday, July 26th from 2:00-4:00 Vanish Brewery, 42245 Black Hops Lane, Leesburg, VA 20176 We encourage potential adopters to apply ahead of our adoption events so we can begin getting to know you and help assess whether an adoption may be a good match prior to the event. We hope to see you on Sunday!!! *Dog/Cat attendance is not guaranteed. Feel free to text the event coordinator to confirm a specific dog/cat's attendance: 703-447-4766 IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Amelia! Amelia is about 12 weeks old and weighs about 10-12 lbs. We have no idea on breed mix, but our guess is German Short hair Pointer/Hound - JUST A GUESS. Amelia is a happy, playful and sweet puppy. She is at her happiest when she is sitting in your lap:) Amelia is great with the resident dogs in her foster home. Amelia has only had one accident in her foster home and seems house trained when on a consistent schedule. Amelia sleeps in her crate through the night. Amelia is ready for any adventure and is happy when she has a lap to sit on. Because Amelia is a young puppy, the adopter must be home during the day to continue training and socialization and help the puppy grow into a confident, well-adjusted dog. This puppy has age-appropriate vaccines, is microchipped and will need to be spayed/neuter at 6 months of age. The Adoption Fee for this puppy $400.00 ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter if the pup is not already spayed/neutered. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. A $100.00 fee will be returned to the adopter once the animal has been sterilized. We will provide information on this process during the approval process. ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs and/or all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

To learn more about Grumpy, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org Grumpy will be at one of our adoption events this weekend! Visit our event page (https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/) to see which one—event listings are usually updated on Fridays with attending dogs. Much like Snow White’s dwarf, the name Grumpy doesn’t describe his true nature. He is a high-energy, strong, extroverted, playful pup who is bursting with enthusiasm and ready to share it with anyone willing to keep up. He needs to brush up on his walking etiquette because he just gets so excited to explore the world. Grumpy is a bit of a jumper and throws all of his energy into playing. He is ready for a new home life and seems willing to follow the leader of the pack if he has dog siblings.

Good with dogs,
Story
Popsicle is an adorable ball of puppy energy! He is very friendly, and adores following and playing with his people. However, he especially loves his foster brother, another 10 month old  pup. Despite the size difference, Popsicle loves to follow and play with his brother, and has NO problem trying to put the big dog in his place if things get too active for him. This pup fears nothing. When it comes to life, Popsicle is all in. Despite his curious and playful nature, he also loves to snuggle up next to you for a nap when playtime is done. Overall, he really has a great temperament. House training: we are working on house-breaking him, and he seems to be getting the hang of it. However, he is still a baby, and accidents will happen. Crate time: he would rather be with the family than in his crate, but when the crate is necessary, he eventually settles down and goes to sleep. Exposure to other dogs/cats/children: he loves other dogs, but has not yet been exposed to children or cats. He seems fascinated by our chickens, but we have only let him observe them from the other side of a fence. Overall, If you choose to adopt Popsicle, you are in for a treat! He is living his best life -- and I have no doubt that he will help you live yours, too.  Adoption Day: July 11th at PetSmart Tysons Corner from 10:00–11:00 AM, an approved adopter must be present to adopt. Some pups may stick around until 11:00 AM for the public event—check our Facebook page closer to the date to see if this pup will be attending the extra fun! ##2768042##

Story
Meet Preamble! If you're looking for a best friend who will fill your days with laughter, love, and endless puppy kisses, I'd love to introduce myself. Hi, I'm Preamble, a 11-week-old puppy! I'm the perfect blend of playful and cuddly. I photograph like a big boy but I'm a small pupper at 19-20lbs. I love exploring the world, discovering new toys, and turning everyday moments into little adventures. Whether it's chasing a squeaky toy, investigating something new, or happily entertaining myself, I always find a way to have fun. But my favorite place of all is wherever my people are. I'm a pretty smart little guy, too! I've already learned how to sit, know how to go potty outside and I love learning new things. Everyone says I'm a quick study, and I'm excited to keep growing with a family who will teach me all about the world. Even with my puppy energy, I also know how to relax. I have a wonderful off-switch and enjoy lots of cozy naps throughout the day. My absolute favorite time? Morning snuggles. There's nothing better than curling up beside you to start the day with a little extra love before we're off on our next adventure. I also love to sunbathe.  At bedtime, I'm an easy roommate—I sleep soundly through the night, whether it's in my crate or on a comfy bed, so everyone wakes up rested and ready for another fun day together. More than anything, I'm hoping to find a forever family who will love me as much as I'll love them. I'll bring you loyal companionship, happy tail wags, gentle cuddles, and a lifetime of unconditional love. All I ask in return is a little patience, lots of affection, and a home where I can grow into the incredible dog I'm meant to be. If you're ready for a best friend who will greet every day with joy, melt your heart with sweet puppy eyes, and remind you that life's greatest moments are often the simplest ones, I think we might be the perfect match. I can't wait to meet my forever family. Maybe it's you. Adoption Day: July 25th at PetSmart Tysons Corner from 10:00–11:00 AM, an approved adopter must be present to adopt. Some pups may stick around until 11:00 AM for the public event—check our Facebook page closer to the date to see if this pup will be attending the extra fun!  ##2768040##
