Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Josie came in with her sister Samantha, and these two are a double dose of sweetness. Incredibly fun-loving with happy, bouncy personalities that just make you smile. Josie’s the chocolate-coated pup who’s always up for play, cuddles, and learning new things. She's the more vocal of the two. Like all puppies, she’ll need patience + training to become the best dog she can be — but with her sweet heart, she’s ready to give 100%. Available for adoption 6/14. Get pre-approved now so you’re ready when she is.   (Thanks to our community for spotting the original post from the person who generated the puppies and offered them up as "strays," rather than honestly be open and forthright about their origin.)        PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA. For questions about the pet, please email us at FOACinfo@gmail.com. All adoptions begin with an application, found under the "Animals" tab on our website, friendsofcampbellcounty.org. *Unaltered babies under the age of six months can be adopted only to residents of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, and counties touching Campbell County. *Unaltered adult pets six months or older will need to be sterilized before they can be adopted outside our local area of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, or counties touching Campbell. *We do not promote dog adoptions to homes where an invisible fence is the fencing of choice. *We do not permit cats or kittens to be declawed following adoption. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 23, 2026, 9:55 am

Story
From my foster: Mabel! It was never Maybelline, this girl was born with it, beautiful is an understatement! She is a very very shy little lady with humans but dogs/cats, she’s never met one she didn’t like! She’s a perfect medium energy dog who loves playing outside with her siblings but equally loves laying on the couch to unwind after a nice play sess! With a lot of patience I know she would love to snuggle I can tell she wants to but right now she’s still getting use to people so she wants to be in the same room but not too close yet. She’s crate and potty trained and has the cutest little quirky legs that make her stand out in the best way possible! She would thrive in a calmer home with a dog sibling and patient paw-rents that can help her heal and learn humans aren’t all bad!
