Story
Tracker is a sweet, calm, and lovable puppy who is quickly growing into a confident young dog. He has all the playful charm of a puppy while also displaying an impressive ability to settle down and relax. Whether he's exploring the yard, playing with a toy, or snoozing on his back with all four paws in the air, Tracker is sure to bring smiles wherever he goes. One of Tracker's most impressive qualities is how well-behaved he is for his age. He sleeps quietly through the night in his crate without whining or barking and often chooses to nap there during the day on his own. He is comfortable being crated when his foster family is away or busy, and he handles it like a champ. Tracker enjoys exploring the world with his mouth, as puppies do, but he is very gentle and learns quickly. A simple "no" is often all it takes for him to leave an object alone and move on. Tracker is doing wonderfully with leash walking and gains confidence every day. He loves being outdoors and enjoys exploring new sights and smells. His foster family notes that he seems to have a particularly keen sense of smell and is always curious about his surroundings. This handsome boy has been living with children ages 11, 13, and 15 and has been fantastic with all of them. He is patient, gentle, and tolerant, even when younger kids want to play chase, cuddle, or shower him with attention. Despite his growing size and giant paws, Tracker is remarkably gentle and easygoing. When it comes to other dogs, Tracker is very interested in making friends. He would love the opportunity to meet and interact with canine companions, although he can be a little unsure when other dogs bark at him. With positive experiences and continued confidence-building, he should continue to blossom socially. Tracker loves attention and enjoys brushing, belly rubs, and pets of all kinds. He is not much of a lap dog due to his size, but he loves being near his people. Interestingly, he rarely jumps on people and prefers to greet new friends with a sniff before continuing his adventures. His favorite activities include playing with tennis balls, rope toys, and chew toys, followed by long naps to recharge. He has bursts of puppy energy in the evenings but is generally a calm and adaptable companion. In fact, during basement construction at his foster home, including heavy equipment, drilling, pounding, and workers coming and going, Tracker barely batted an eye and spent most of the time sleeping through the commotion. Tracker's foster family adores his goofy personality. He gallops around with his oversized paws like a little Clydesdale, occasionally tumbling in the grass or sliding across smooth floors as he figures out where all his legs are supposed to go. His giant floppy ears, soft coat, and playful antics make him impossible not to love. Tracker would thrive in a home that can provide plenty of exercise, attention, and opportunities to continue building his confidence. A family with a large yard or room to explore would be ideal. Most importantly, he needs a family willing to be patient as he learns and experiences new things. In return, they'll get an incredibly sweet, adaptable, and loyal companion who is ready to grow up by their side. If you're looking for a gentle, easygoing puppy with a heart of gold and a fun-loving spirit, Tracker may be the perfect addition to your family!
