Story
Meet Hobbes! Hobbes is an adorable, goofy 4 year old Pomeranian weighing around 15 lbs! Rescued from a puppy mill, Hobbes is slowly learning what it means to live the good life with human companions! Hobbes is full of personality and will be sure to make you laugh as he struts around the house, curious about anything and everything. While he can be unsure around new people, he has a lot of pep in his step and gains confidence every day. His crate is his safe place and he does well in there when left alone. He is doing an amazing job of going potty outside but is still learning to not mark his territory indoors. Hobbes is fostered with other small dogs and does well with them! He looks to them for confidence and enjoys playing on occasion. He loves treats and is still learning about toys, but he is very curious about them! He is very scared of the leash, so a secure harness will be important for him, and a securely fenced in yard would be best for him as he learns to be more confident. Hobbes is ready to become the dog he was always meant to be! Can you give him the loving home he needs to come out of his shell? Apply today! Hobbes is fostered in the Columbus area. His adoption fee is $450.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Gypsy is a 4-year-old, 40 lb Pomsky (Pomeranian/Husky mix) who is looking for her emotional support human. She is a nervous girl who needs someone to show her what love truly is. Gypsy is still quite skittish and learning to adjust to the everyday noises and activity of life outside the puppy mill, but each day she grows a little braver. She’s just beginning to discover the comfort of human affection and will need structure, consistency, and kind guidance. Gypsy will need a patient, loving home that’s ready to celebrate her small victories and help her continue building confidence. Because she feels safest when she can follow the lead of another dog, Gypsy will need a confident, well-adjusted canine companion in her forever home to help her continue gaining confidence. She will also require a physically fenced yard to provide a secure environment where she can safely explore and build trust at her own pace. Gypsy is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. Her adoption fee is $275.00. Story
Meet Calvin! This 2 year old, 12 lb Pomeranian is ready for his next adventure! Calvin is a wonderful ball of fluff who is curious to see what the world has to offer. Rescued from a puppy mill, Calvin can be shy and unsure at first. Once he starts to trust you, he will smile at you with his adorable teeth and then give you a thousand tiny kisses. Calvin sees his crate as his safe place and does well in there when left at home. He is doing an amazing job at going potty outside but is still learning not to mark his territory indoors. Leash walking is brand new and a bit scary for him, but he is making strides each and every day. A secure harness and consistent practice will help him with his confidence. True to his breed, Calvin can be quite vocal and will let you know if he hears anything out of the ordinary. He loves to play with toys, chew on bones, and is curious about his new surroundings. He is fostered with other small dogs and does well with them, happy to chase and wrestle with his dog friends, but he doesn't always like to share his toys and treats with them. Calvin has made immense strides in his short time in foster care and will certainly continue to blossom into an amazing pup! Give him patience and love and Calvin will promise to return it ten-fold. Apply for Calvin today! Calvin is fostered in the Columbus area. His adoption fee is $450.00.
