Story
Reese is a sweet dog who loves every person he meets. He loves going to the vet or being in any environment where he can be the center of attention. Reese would do best with an experienced owner with a lot of time on their hands. He was raised around a cat and wants to play with them more than anything else. He has had a lot of exposure with dogs and with time can become used to them but he’s pretty shy around dogs initially.

Story
Meet Teddy! Little Teddy is a pomeranian male, around 6 years old. We're not sure exactly what his life was like before he came to us, but it could not have been a very happy one. Teddy arrived very fearful and shut down, not at all interested in having humans touch him. He has spent the last few months in one of our wonderful foster homes and he has made so much progress! It is lovely to see him gain confidence and become more trusting. There is still work to be done and Teddy will do best in a home with someone who is willing to earn his trust and go at his speed.  From his foster mom: Teddy is a truly special boy looking for a patient, understanding home where he can continue to blossom. When he first arrived, he was very frightened of people—unsure of touch and too overwhelmed to fully open up. While humans were a mystery to him, Teddy has always found comfort and joy in the company of other dogs. Having another friendly dog in the home is a must for Teddy and his continued progress.  With time, consistency, and gentle care, Teddy has made incredible progress. He’s grown from a pup who couldn’t be touched into a loyal companion who now happily accompanies me everywhere—whether it’s riding in the car, going to work, or just being nearby. He’s still a bit awkward when being picked up or petted, but that’s only because he’s learning, step by step, what love and safety truly feel like. These days, Teddy sleeps on the bed and will even come up on his own, softly tapping with his paw to ask for affection. It’s a small gesture that speaks volumes about how far he’s come. Beneath his shyness is a heart full of love, just waiting for the right person to help it shine. Teddy would thrive in a calm, patient home that understands his unique journey and is willing to let him adjust at his own pace. In return, he promises quiet companionship, growing trust, and the kind of bond that only comes from earning the love of a once-shy dog. Teddy is vaccinated, neutered and chipped. His adoption fee is $450. We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
