Story
Meet Berry! Sweet and wonderful Berry lost his home when his owner passed away. He landed in a shelter and was adopted again, only for that owner to pass away suddenly also. Berry is now in a loving foster home and once again looking for a loving home to spend his final years in. This sweet little teddy bear is as gentle and easygoing as they come. He is 14 years of age and underneath that ball of fluff is a 13.7 pound body. Calm, friendly, and remarkably resilient; Berry was living in his forever home for less than a year when his person suddenly passed away. He was also happily sharing his new home with another dog. He’s not shy — just quietly affectionate and happy to be included. He enjoys meeting new people and other dogs. Recently, he had a dental and had 16 teeth removed; the result has been wonderful. His energy level and playfulness have actually increased, and he is feeling better than ever. Berry is an easy companion with the calm maturity of an older dog and modest exercise needs making him a great fit for a calm household or someone looking for a loving, sweet companion content to be near his people. He is potty and leash trained. Regular grooming will keep his lush double coat looking great. Berry is now freshly groomed, feeling fantastic and eager to find a stable, loving home where he can continue to thrive. He is vaccinated, neutered, microchipped. His adoption fee is $195 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
🏠 Currently in a Vancouver foster home Hi, my name is Dabok. I’m a Pomeranian mix boy, and I’m estimated to be about 2 years old. I weigh 6.4kg (14.1 lb), which makes me a small, fluffy bundle of love. With my soft white fur, gentle eyes, and the way I wag my tail as I walk up to you, people often tell me I melt their hearts the moment they see me. That’s my special charm—and I love sharing it. But my life didn’t always look this warm and gentle. I was rescued from a shelter where the risk of euthanasia was extremely high. The environment was harsh, and illness was everywhere. Each day, I waited—without knowing if tomorrow would come. And then, at the very last moment, a miracle happened. I was rescued and given another chance at life. Because of what I’ve been through, I treasure human touch and love more than anything. Even the smallest bit of attention means the world to me, and I open my heart sincerely to those who show me kindness. I’m an active yet incredibly affectionate boy. I get along wonderfully with women, men, and children, and I socialize very well with other dogs without conflict. When you pet me, I naturally lean into you, because connecting with people is something I truly enjoy. People often say I feel like I was born to be someone’s companion dog—and I think they’re right. I’m also great on walks! I don’t pull on the leash and walk calmly by your side. I don’t overreact to strangers or other dogs, so our walks together will be peaceful and relaxing. I do well in the car, I’m crate trained, and I’m already trained for outdoor potty habits. That said, when I move into a brand-new environment, I may have a few potty accidents at first. But I already understand the concept, and with love, patience, and a consistent routine, I’ll quickly adjust again. Your understanding and gentle guidance will give me a sense of safety and help me build deep trust with you. My ideal forever family is someone who can embrace my past, see mistakes as part of growing together, and wants to share everyday joys with a loyal companion. If I meet that family, I promise to give back with unwavering trust, a warm presence always by your side, and endless love. I once stood at the door of euthanasia. Now, I stand here—ready to learn love, and ready to give it back. I’m Dabok, and I’m ready to become someone’s forever family.
