Story
Meet Wood — 7-year-old Pomeranian | 2.5 kg | 23 cm   Wood is a sweet little Pomeranian who was rescued on July 3 after being neglected in a home. Sadly, by the time he was rescued, one of his eyes was already severely damaged and had to be removed. His teeth had also been left without proper care, and 13 teeth were extracted. Despite everything he has been through, Wood is an incredibly affectionate and easygoing little guy.   With People Wood absolutely loves people! He is friendly not only with those he knows but also with strangers, happily approaching them for attention and rubbing against them. If someone is giving him affection, he may even ask to be picked up. He is comfortable with both men and women and can easily be lifted with an arm under his belly. Once he feels close to you, he’ll even roll over and show his belly.   With Other Dogs Wood will approach unfamiliar dogs to say hello, but he isn’t particularly interested in playing with them. He generally prefers doing his own thing and is especially comfortable around dogs smaller than himself. Even if another dog tries to provoke him, Wood tends to simply move away rather than engage. At heart, he is definitely more of a people dog than a dog’s dog.   With Cats Wood’s reaction to cats has not yet been observed, but a cat test can be arranged upon request.   Energy Level & Walks Wood has a low energy level and is happiest relaxing quietly. Because of the hot weather, he hasn’t had much opportunity for proper walks yet, so his leash skills are still being observed.   At Home Wood currently shows no resource guarding around food with either people or other dogs. He is also doing very well on his own, with no significant separation anxiety or barking observed at this time. As with any rescue dog, his behaviour may change as he transitions into a new home, so a gradual adjustment period is recommended.   He generally does his business outdoors.   Wood at a glance: 7 years old Neutered male Pomeranian 2.5 kg | 23 cm Low energy Very affectionate & people-oriented Calm and independent around other dogs Currently doing well when left alone   Wood may have had a difficult past, but he hasn’t lost his love for people. He’s a tiny, gentle boy who would love nothing more than a comfortable home and someone to adore. Apply to adopt or foster: https://adoptmekr.org  PLEASE ALSO VISIT OUR FACEBOOK AND INSTAGRAM! Story
The cosmos (the concept) contains everything. Cosmos (the dog) works on a similar scale. This little teddy bear is smart, alert, curious, eager to please, and deeply, completely devoted to his people. He wants to be by your side and will return any love and attention given to him approximately ten-fold. He looks like a walking stuffed animal. He does not shed. He is, by his foster's account, the cutest, most lovable, best boy there is . If that’s not enough, you should know that his foster parents delayed giving us this info because they weren't ready to come to terms with him leaving. He's very puppy: He plays, wrestles, digs, chews, romps around, and occasionally helps himself to whatever treat his brother has, because sharing is a concept he supports only in theory. He's been great with a chaotic household full of kids and adults, responds well to training, and has made real progress on separation anxiety with consistent work. A few things to know going in: he'll need someone committed to continuing that training work, ideally as the star of the show rather than part of a big dog pack, and he'll need regular grooming (the teddy bear look requires some upkeep). He's people-oriented to his core, and a family or person who wants to invest in him is going to get a companion who makes them laugh every single day and loves them with everything he's got. His foster is going to miss him so, so much. Whoever gets him next is going to understand why! -----

A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters:
Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:

✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.

✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).

✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.

The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.

Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.

Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.

Thankfully, compassionate rescuers saved me and gave me the chance to experience something I’d never known before, hope.  I’m a gentle and affectionate companion who loves being around people, including kind children. I get along well with other dogs and would enjoy a family who can shower me with attention and affection.  I’d do best in a home with a family who understands that rescued dogs need patience and time to adjust.    We recommend working with our skilled pet rescue trainer. My adoption fee of  $1,495 (tax-deductible and essential for supporting future rescues) c  overs Spay/Neuter.    DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccinations,  Deworming and Heartworm testing,  Microchipping,  Boarding fees, health certificate, and airline transport from Korea to Seattle.    For safety, all adopted dogs must have a GPS tracker or Apple AirTag. You can bring your own or purchase one from us.    Your support allows Ginger’s Pet Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, to continue its lifesaving work and provide critical medical care for animals in  need.    Email  admin@gingerspetrescue.org  to request an adoption application or to learn more about me. My name is Lulabelle, and I came all the way from Korea in hopes of finding my forever home. I am a 6-year-old Pomeranian girl and weigh about 12 lbs — small, fluffy, and full of charm. (My age and weight are estimated.) I was rescued from an illegal breeding facility in South Korea, and now I’m waiting for my chance to travel to Seattle. To make this possible, I need a foster home to welcome me when I arrive. Once I’m here, I’ll also be looking for my forever adoptive home filled with love and care. So far, I have not shown any issues with other dogs, children, or people — but every dog may respond differently when settling into a new home. My adoption fee of $1,695 is a donation that is non-refundable and helps save the lives of other dogs in need. It covers my spay, vaccinations, microchip, boarding fees, health certificate, and transport costs from Korea to Seattle. A GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs — you can bring your own or purchase one from us. We do not guarantee the breed or age of our dogs. Ginger’s Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, and all adoption fees are donations that help more dogs get their second chance. If you think you can open your heart to a very special girl like me, please fill out an adoption or foster application on my page at www.gingerspetrescue.org .March 7, 2026, 8:59 pm

Story
Ginger Sesame has lived some life, raised some babies, and has arrived at this new chapter ready to be where the people are. All the people. Always. Her foster says her theme song should be "Part of Your World" from The Little Mermaid, and having read everything about her, we're not arguing. She wants to be on your lap, or at your feet, or following you through every room of the house. She has decided that humans are her thing, and we support her in that. She takes a minute to decide someone is trustworthy, but once she's in, well…you get it. She loves calm children who are willing to get on her level, and does well with other dogs as long as she doesn't have to interact with them (she's not rude, just…indifferent). She prefers to be carried up stairs and does best in a home without a lot of them, or with people happy to do the carrying, thankyouverymuch. She freezes a little when approached from above, so a slow crouch and letting let her come to you goes a long way. She circles three to five times before she poops, which we just thought you should know because it’s funny. With her coat cut short, she apparently resembles a chihuahua or possibly a house elf, and her ears are wildly expressive. She is, in short, the perfect pooch in the perfect package. -----
