After a few kisses, he’ll prance around with whatever plush squeaky toy in site (even better: he doesn’t destroy them.) Maddox is your number one companion and will not leave your side and will be best with someone who is home more often than not, or with another furry friend. He is high energy, but gentle, loves a good run and needs a yard to frolic in. At night, he is the biggest lover and just wants to be curled up, preferably on top of you. My wife and I purchased Otis from a GWP breeder out of Oklahoma who has been breeding pointers for 35 years. When we purchased Otis, we were looking for a friendly, loyal, adventurous companion who enjoyed an active lifestyle in the mountains as much as we do. My wife and I now have a 2 year old at home who obviously is consuming majority of our time and energy. Additionally, Otis has outgrown our small home and our new lifestyle hinders us from providing Otis the life he deserves. Ideally, we are looking for someone who has lots of land for Otis to run - as you know, these breeds have tons of energy. My wife is a runner and runs Otis up to 5 miles a day multiple days a week - Otis cannot get enough of it and loves any task focused activity such as chasing sticks in the river. Otis has not been trained to hunt (yet), but if you are looking for a bird dog - hunting is in his blood, as he comes from decades of family hunting genes. We are hopeful to find a loving new home for Otis.
