Story
Introducing Duckie, Our Delightful English SetterDuckie is a vibrant one-year-old female English Setter, light on her feet at 31 pounds, and quite possibly one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever encounter. She greets everyone with boundless curiosity and affection, eager to make friends and share her joyful energy. When Duckie meets someone new, her excitement is contagious; she wiggles with happiness, and it's nearly impossible not to smile in her presence. This exuberant pup thrives in the company of other dogs and relishes the chance to romp and play, embodying the spirited nature of a joyful puppy at outdoor parties. Duckie adores receiving affectionate pets on her face and treats every bit of attention as if it's the best thing since sliced bread.Currently waiting for her forever home at National Mill Dog Rescue, Duckie is ready to be someone's new best friend. If you're looking for a dog who will bring a burst of happiness and energy into your life, come meet Duckie and let her charm her way into your heart.- - - - - -Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization. As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet. We typically do not adopt to homes with young children. Homes with older children will be considered on an individual basis. Common skills such as house training and leash walking will often take extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, many of these dogs come around with patience and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience.
