Story
Blue is a sweet boy who has slowly but surely started warming up in his foster home. He enjoys pets and being outside. He is potty trained for the most part but may have some accidents overnight. In his foster home, he does well coexisting with two cats. It is unknown how he does with children and other dogs so slow and proper intros will be important.I’m currently in a loving foster home offsite! Please contact my foster parent, Ruth, at 951-258-1753 to inquire about me or set up a visit! Please allow up to 24 hours for my foster parent to respond.

Story
Loving, energetic buddy! I love to be wherever you are, whether that's cuddling on the couch or walking through the neighborhood! Even though I'm 6 years old, I have a ton of energy and haven't quite caught on that 60 pound dogs aren't lap dogs. I'm a 'dog person's' dog and love harder than anyone you know. I'd do best in a home without small children. General Socialization Notes: I'm a proud graduate of basic and intermediate training classes. I know basic cues like sit, stay, down, shake, and leave it. I walk right next to you on a leash (I prefer the right-hand side!). I'm crate trained and prefer to sleep there at night. I'm house-broken and am used to keeping myself entertained at home alone during a normal workday. I do get excited around new people and need reminders not to jump up - my high energy can be a lot if you're not a dog person! I do get sad if I can see you outside and I'm stuck inside. I will probably bark to remind you that I want to hang out wherever you are. I will also bark in the yard if I see another dog or the Amazon Prime guy. Someone has to keep the house safe! Does Wheeler like other animals? I get nervous around new dogs on walks and may bark at them, but if you remind me that you're there for me, I can calm down. I will need to work on my reactivity. I don't get along with cats, so the cat I live with now stays in a separate part of the house. I'd do best as an only dog. Does Wheeler like children? I get nervous around young children and would do best in a house with either no kids or much older kids. Favorite Toys: My favorite toy is anything that's designed to be chewed up, like a stringy rope toy. I also love to play fetch with tennis balls and then lay down to chew them. Ideal Forever Home: I will do best in an active home without young children. While I do like to relax while my humans are at work, I'm used to walking for at least a half hour each day with plenty of longer walks and hikes on the weekends. I respond well to a calm, attentive presence. I am looking forward to training to help me manage my excitement in new situations. I'd love a home with a yard so I can run and play! I'd do best in a home without cats.

Story
“When do we eat?” I'm a sweet, senior Labrador Retriever mix and I love warm cuddles. I'm really good at eating anything you give me; if it's food and eye level it's fair game to me, but other wise I don't go looking for it. My favorite hobbies are walking my humans and chasing squirrels in the back yard. I do need time to warm up when meeting new people, but I warm up quickly. I'd do best in a home with older children, 12 years old and older. I am nervous when meeting new people. If I'm given time, I do warm up quickly. I am a sweet boy once I warm up. I'd need a family that is patient with me and gives me time to adjust. I am crate trained. I live with 3 other dogs and do well with them. I also love cats but sometimes they don't want to be a part of all my affection. Children do make me nervous so I'd do best in a home with older children, 12 years and older would be best. I don't really have a favorite toy. I do love treats! I'd love a patient, loving family that will give me time to adjust. I have a lot of love to share. I'd do fine as an only dog or living with other dogs. Cats are fine. I'd feel best in a home with older children. I just really want a soft place to land. My adoption fee includes a Training Plan specific for my needs.
