Story
Meet Happy Hershey! This sweet brownish-red bundle of joy is as delightful as Hershey chocolate. He is a wired-haired pointer mix with soft fur and the most stunning golden eyes. Hershey would make a wonderful addition to an active family. He was found wandering in a nice neighborhood in Nashville. Miss Candi discovered him and his companion, Mae, in the middle of the street, heading toward a busy four-lane road. She and her neighbor quickly took action, and before they knew it, both Hershey and Mae were safely in her backyard. Since no one responded to the lost and found posting, Miss Candi reached out to Critter Cavalry for assistance. Hershey has been fully vetted and is now ready to find his forever home. Hershey must have an active family with a secure, fenced yard. He is quite the escape artist— even Houdini would be impressed! He walks beautifully on a leash and would love a family that enjoys walking or running. He also enjoys hiking and would thrive in a wooded environment. We recommend using a sturdy harness when exercising him and keeping a watchful eye while he is loose in the yard. A name tag would also be a helpful accessory. Hershey loves other dogs and is great with adults. Although he hasn't been around children, his sweet nature suggests that it shouldn't be a problem. A proper introduction should suffice. If you’re an active family looking for an amazing companion, Hershey is the one for you! To be considered for his forever family and to request an application, please contact Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com. An approved application and adoption fee are required. (Hershey is in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)  July 10, 2025, 5:13 pm
