Story
Hi. Yes. Hello. It’s me—Steven Tyler. No, I will not be singing Dream On… but I will be dramatically throwing myself into your life like I’ve been waiting for you my entire career. I’m what you’d call “happy-go-lucky,” but that feels a little underwhelming for someone of my star power. I prefer: “Emotionally stable ray of sunshine with legs and zero interest in being sad ever again.” I’m Steven Tyler—2 years old, 58 pounds of scruffy, slightly rugged, “I woke up like this” perfection. Likely some kind of wirehaired German Pointer mix, but honestly, my look is best described as “effortlessly handsome with a touch of rockstar rebellion.” Now… let’s talk about my past, because it truly makes zero sense. I sat in a shelter for four months. FOUR. Whole. Months. How my scruffy little face kept getting overlooked is a mystery that even I, a very intelligent and obviously important dog, cannot solve. Then—finally—my big break. Freedom ride secured. Future looking bright. I’m ready to hit the road, start my new life, cue the confetti…And then—plot twist. Heartworms. And listen… I had a moment. I thought, “Well, this is it. They’re gonna change their minds.” I was wrong though. Not only did they still take me… they were even MORE determined to save me. Because apparently, I am what the professionals call “worth it.” So now here I am—undergoing treatment, healing up, and still somehow maintaining my title as a happy-go-lucky, life-is-amazing, tail-wagging ray of sunshine. Because listen… I didn’t wait 4 months just to come out of that sad. Couldn’t be me. So if you’re looking for a dog who has been through some things but chose joy anyway… a dog who will love you like you personally orchestrated his entire rescue story… a dog who is ready to headline your life with zero hesitation…I am the one you have been searching for. Now let me address my social life, because I know everyone wants the tea…When I meet other dogs, I come in like I’ve just been reunited with my long-lost best friend… even if we have never met. I love to play. Like… LOVE. Play is my passion, my calling, my full-time career. The only small detail I’m still working on is that not every dog appreciates my personal space is a myth type of greeting. If the other dog is into my vibe, we’re off to the races and it’s a great time. If they’re more of a “please respect my bubble” type… I may not immediately pick up on that memo. And if they react, I might react right back like, “Wow, what the heck is up with your vibe, dude?” I’m definitely more of a “good vibes only” kind of guy, not a “respect my authority” type. So I’m probably not the best match for a super alpha dog who runs a tight ship, hates play, or expects everyone to fall in line. So I’d do best with a dog who’s playful, tolerant, or at least willing to roll their eyes at me and move on. Cats and I? We are not on the same wavelength. Like… at all. So for everyone’s sanity (mine included), I’m going to need a cat-free home. Kids, you say? I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting any tiny humans just yet, but based on my enthusiasm for literally everything, it’s probably best I stick with the bigger, sturdier variety. I’m all about the good vibes—but I do come with a little extra horsepower and zero awareness of my own size when I’m excited. So older kids who can handle my energy (and maybe laugh when I forget personal space exists) would be my ideal audience. 🐾 Energy level? Oh, I’m sitting at a solid 8/10. I’m not bouncing off the walls 24/7, but I do wake up ready to participate in life. Walks? Yes. Playtime? Absolutely. Yard adventures? Don’t mind if I do. Basically, I’m the kind of guy who’s down for activities, thrives with some structure and exercise, and then happily crashes like, “Wow… what a productive day of being awesome.” Adventure-seeker? Oh, absolutely. I did not survive my “four months in a shelter + surprise heartworm plot twist” era just to sit around and watch life happen from the couch (…okay, I will still enjoy the couch, let’s not get carried away). I’m the kind of guy who’s like, “Where are we going? What are we doing? Can I come? I’m already in the car.” Hikes? Let’s go. Walks around the neighborhood where I can dramatically greet the world? Perfect. Backyard exploring like I’m discovering new land? Elite activity. I’ve got that curious, ready-for-anything energy—like every outing is a brand-new episode and I am the star. Just give me a little structure, some exercise, and a human willing to include me in the adventure… and I’ll be your happiest co-pilot. 🐾 Alright, let’s get into the fine print—you know, the part where I prove I’m not just a handsome face. First things first… I’d really thrive with a securely fenced yard where I can stretch my legs, explore, and live out my “adventure-seeker but also appreciates snacks” lifestyle. Could I do leash walks? Sure. But having my own space to zoom and sniff like it’s my full-time job? That’s the dream. Now, let’s talk manners—because yes, I do have some. I know “sit” (you’re welcome), I’m potty trained (we love a respectful king), and I do just fine in my kennel, which is where I sleep at night and hang out when my humans are away. I’m not out here chewing your furniture, redecorating your house, or plotting my escape like it’s a prison break movie. I will bark occasionally, but nothing over the top—just your standard “I have thoughts and I’d like to share them” level of communication. At the end of the day, I’m a really good dog with a lot of love (and yes, a decent amount of energy). I’ve got all the potential in the world—I just need a family who’s willing to help me continue learning my manners, show me how to fully embrace this whole “being a dog in a home” thing, and give me the structure and guidance I deserve. You bring the consistency… I’ll bring the love. Deal? 🐾 And now for my grand finale… 🎤 I’ve got the personality, the heart, and just enough scruffy charm to make strangers say, “Oh my gosh, what is he? Does he have a sibling up for adoption”. All I’m missing is my people—the ones who are ready to laugh at my enthusiasm, help me polish my manners, and let me be their loyal, slightly dramatic, adventure-loving sidekick. So if you’ve been waiting for a sign… this is it. You’re going to need to fill out that adoption application like the responsible adult I believe you are. Yes, the whole thing. No, you cannot just “vibe it out” and hope I show up at your door. Once you do that, the nice people will send it over to my foster family for approval—because apparently I am a highly sought-after individual. And then—brace yourself—you will need to physically come pick me up in Hutchinson, KS. I know. A journey. A quest, even. But honestly? Worth it. I mean… have you read this entire post? Go ahead. Apply at https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app Impress me. I’ll be here, waiting to dramatically improve your life. 🐾

Story
Meet Bailey – A Beautiful Soul Looking for a Fresh Start Bailey is a 6-year-old Pointer mix with a heart full of love and a second chance at life. Through no fault of her own, Bailey and her brother were facing euthanasia when their owners went through a divorce. Thankfully, rescue stepped in just in time—and now Bailey is ready to find the forever family she truly deserves. Bailey is smart, loyal, and happiest when she’s outside enjoying the sunshine, exploring the yard, or taking in all the sights and smells around her. She’s the kind of girl who would love a home with space to stretch her legs and people who appreciate an active/and calm, intelligent companion. She knows Sit and Shake. She is a gentle giant. Loves kids! Dog friendly!  Finding a home with her brother Otto would be a dream come true. They’ve always had each other, and we’d love to keep their bond intact if possible. But most of all, Bailey deserves a safe, loving home where she’ll be cherished forever. If we need to seperate we can consider it.  If you’re looking for a sweet, bright, and resilient best friend—or an amazing duo—Bailey is waiting to meet you. ##2493761##

Story
Meet Oreo! He is 2 years old, around 50 lbs, and a Pointer/Pittie mix hunting for his forever home! He will steal your heart while also trying to steal whatever objects he can find and then run and hide with them! He thinks he's pretty funny. He is a big fan of his chew toys and loves a good squeaky toy! Oreo gets hot easily and absolutely loves water. He will stand in the water bowl and make a mess with the water on the floor if you let him! We'd love to see how much fun he has with something bigger than a puddle! He loves sleeping in dark, cool places. He can sound pretty furious when playing, but isn't a mean boy. He's just got that kind of sound. Oreo is house and kennel trained. He is still a young guy and will need a family that can help him keep learning all the ways to be a great boy. He is good with other dogs and has been exposed to different breed and sizes. We're unsure how he is with cats. He has been around older children and would probably be okay with younger ones as he's not prone to biting or scratching when he plays. This hungry guy is very food motivated. He LOVES treats which is coming in super handy as he is learning his basic commands. He and his siblings do best eating separately from each other as they will swipe a bite from another's plate if you let them. Oreo would thrive with a fun family that loves including their furry family members in their adventures, bonus points if it includes water! You can send inquiries to our adoption team at muttmisfitsadoptions@gmail.com or apply to meet/adopt him at www.muttmisfits.org/adoption-application He is neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $75.
