Story
Meet Oreo! He is 2 years old, around 50 lbs, and a Pointer/Pittie mix hunting for his forever home! He will steal your heart while also trying to steal whatever objects he can find and then run and hide with them! He thinks he's pretty funny. He is a big fan of his chew toys and loves a good squeaky toy! Oreo gets hot easily and absolutely loves water. He will stand in the water bowl and make a mess with the water on the floor if you let him! We'd love to see how much fun he has with something bigger than a puddle! He loves sleeping in dark, cool places. He can sound pretty furious when playing, but isn't a mean boy. He's just got that kind of sound. Oreo is house and kennel trained. He is still a young guy and will need a family that can help him keep learning all the ways to be a great boy. He is good with other dogs and has been exposed to different breed and sizes. We're unsure how he is with cats. He has been around older children and would probably be okay with younger ones as he's not prone to biting or scratching when he plays. This hungry guy is very food motivated. He LOVES treats which is coming in super handy as he is learning his basic commands. He and his siblings do best eating separately from each other as they will swipe a bite from another's plate if you let them. Oreo would thrive with a fun family that loves including their furry family members in their adventures, bonus points if it includes water! You can send inquiries to our adoption team at muttmisfitsadoptions@gmail.com or apply to meet/adopt him at www.muttmisfits.org/adoption-application He is neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $75.

Story
Jordy is a 2.5-year-old, 60-pound German Shorthaired Pointer/Pittie mix looking for his forever family. This handsome boy is house trained, kennel trained, and has also done well being left unkenneled in the house while his people are away. (We always recommend starting with a kennel in a new environment until everyone gets into a routine.) Jordy gets along well with dogs of all sizes, but he would truly thrive with another playful dog in the home. He would likely do well with older children who can help him burn off some of his energy, but because of his size he may not be the best fit for a home with very young kids. Jordy hasn’t lived with cats, and based on how he reacts to them in the neighborhood, a cat-free home would be best. A happy, friendly guy, Jordy loves to snuggle up for naps when playtime is over. He’s very food-motivated (ice cubes are a favorite treat!) and is currently working on his leash manners. This handsome boy would make a great walking buddy. Because he’s a fast eater, he does best with a slow feeder—and his little squeak while eating is adorable. A fenced yard (preferably 6 ft privacy fence) would be ideal. Jordy is a sweet, active doggo who is ready for a family that can give him the fun and love he deserves. With the right home, he’ll be an incredible companion and a joyful addition to the family. If you think your home would be a good fit for him, apply to meet / adopt Jordy at www.muttmisfits.org/adoption-application or email muttmisfitsadoptions@gmail.com with any inquiries. Jordy, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $75. He does not have any special needs or take any medications.

Story
Topaz aka DobyMeet our goofball with amazing ears! This active guy is very shy and nervous when meeting new people and in new situations. He needs a patient family but once you gain his trust he will be your best side kick. He weighes in at 55lbs of pure muscle and love. Topaz enjoys playing but after he wears himself out he insists on being cuddled. His talents include paw dexterity, fetching tennis balls, sprinting, chewing up dog bones and hiding them, and has the most amazing bounce you have ever seen. If you ever have mice that try to break in he will defend you with his life, he is great at tracking them down. He does great in the crate when sleeping and is potty trained. Topaz absolutely loves kids and other dogs but loves cats a little too much! We believe he is a german shorthair pointer/pointer cattle dog mix born near the second week of July 2023. His fun personality is sure to bring you a lifetime of laughter!  ##1819863##

Story
Meet Emerald! This gem of a pup is a 35-pound German Shorthaired Pointer / Australian Cattle Dog mix with the sweetest soul once she feels safe. Born in July 2023, Emerald is still just a baby—but one with a gentle heart and a cautious spirit. Emerald is shy at first, especially in new environments, and she needs a quiet, patient home where she can take her time to settle in (it may take a full 3 months for her to decompress—yep, the 3/3/3 rule really matters for her!). But once you’ve earned her trust, you’ll see her true colors: affectionate, cuddly, and playful, with a serious love for backyard zoomies and canine companions. She needs at least one other dog in the home to help her feel safe and confident—being around other pups brings out her happiest, most relaxed self. She’s great with dogs, fine with tolerant cats, and has done well around older children. A home without young kids is best, since loud noises can be overwhelming. An all-female household would be ideal, though a gentle, patient male could earn her trust over time. Emerald is currently on medication to help manage her anxiety, and her adopter should be committed to continuing her care and helping her grow in confidence. If you’re looking for a loyal snuggle buddy and have a calm, dog-friendly home to offer, Emerald might just be your perfect match. ##1819862##
