Story
Hi there! I’m an adorable, sweet, and goofy puppy looking for my forever home!   I’m already doing a great job with my puppy skills! I’m crate trained, sleep through the night, and I’m potty trained for pee—I’m still working on mastering the other part, but I’m getting there!  I love to snuggle, play, and squeak my favorite toys. I can go upstairs like a champ, but going back down is still a little too scary. I’m a tiny little thing—about the size of a size 10 shoe! So I’m taking my time figuring out this whole “going downstairs” business. I’m still getting to know my furry friends, too. The cat is a little intimidating because she’s bigger than I am, but I’m learning! The big dogs don’t bother me at all—they just seem to have figured out that I’m ready to play before they are! If you’re looking for a sweet, silly, cuddly little puppy to add to your family, I might just be your perfect match. ❤️ Come meet me at the adoption event or e-mail to learnlearn more.  I can’t wait to meet my forever family! Accuracy is not guaranteed; however, information provided is accurate to the best of our knowledge.  For more information on the pet, please send an email to info@aforeverhome.org September 9, 2026, 9:19 am

IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Amelia! Amelia is about 4.5 months old and weighs about 21 lbs. We have no idea on breed mix, but our guess is Hound/German Shorthaired Pointer mix - JUST A GUESS. Amelia is a very playful and sweet puppy. She loves playing with dogs and when she’s done, she is happiest curling up in your lap for a nap. She is ready to be your dog’s best friend and your cuddle buddy! Amelia is great with the resident dogs in her foster home. She is a very cuddly girl and thinks she is a lap dog. She loves toys and playing with dogs. Amelia will require another young and playful dog in her forever home. Amelia is doing great with her house training and sleeps in her crate through the night. Because Amelia is a young puppy, the adopter must be home during the day to continue training and socialization and help the puppy grow into a confident, well-adjusted dog. This puppy has age-appropriate vaccines, is microchipped and will need to be spayed/neuter at 6 months of age. The Adoption Fee for this puppy $400.00 ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter if the pup is not already spayed/neutered. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. A $100.00 fee will be returned to the adopter once the animal has been sterilized. We will provide information on this process during the approval process. ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs and/or all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**
