Story
I adopted Kota in 2020, making him almost 6 and he's 70 pounds. I am looking for the best life possible for him (perhaps a farm/large space with other dogs) with loving humans. Currently space is a little tight for us but I'm able to be patient and wait for a great opportunity for him. Kota is a very unique and funny personality. He ranges from being a real loaf to zipping and zooming and makes beautiful husky sounds. He should not be in a home with cats but does great with all dogs. He spent 3 weeks being professionally trained by Art of the Dog Canine Academy in 2025. This includes a collar beeper that helps guide him as far as heeling on walks etc. He is trained to stay on his bed as well. He is a mellow guy and is pretty low maintennance and independent but is also snuggly. He loves rolling around in snow and relaxing outside. Also no notable health concerns.

Story
Butters is a sweet, sensitive pup with a lot of catching up to do! She missed out on some socialization opportunities when she was younger, but is making great strides with the help of our Training & Behavior team. Butters has appreciated the company of another dog in the shelter, so we are requiring she be adopted to a home with another dog. At this time, HSBV will only rehome her to a family either without children or with children over the age of 16. Butters can be met with until 4:30pm so our Training & Behavior team can provide adoption counseling.
