Story
WoofflesMaleAge: 1 yearWeight: 46 lbsBreed: German Shepherd/Husky Hi, I’m Wooffles! I’m a silly, loving guy looking for my best friend. I have the handsome face of a German Shepherd, the goofiness of a Husky, and I’m a world-class cuddler. I’m great with dogs and cats and love playing with both. I haven’t been around a lot of kids, but I’ve loved the attention from the ones I’ve met. I can be a little shy with new people at first, but I warm up quickly and absolutely LOVE attention. I’m house trained and crate trained and should be crated when left alone. I love treats, squeaky toys, car rides, and especially snuggling up with my human at the end of the day. Right now, I’m finishing treatment for heartworms and I’ll need to stay on activity restriction until about mid-September while I recover. Because I’ve had to take it easy, I haven’t had much practice with walks yet, so I may need a little leash training and socialization once I’m cleared. I’m a smart boy, though, and I think I’ll catch on quickly. Once I get the all-clear, I’ll be SO excited to play with other pups, go for walks, run around, and become someone’s adventure buddy. I could easily see myself becoming the perfect patio pup for those beautiful autumn days. Until then, I’m perfectly happy taking car rides with my ears flopping in the wind, having silly moments with my foster siblings, and cuddling with my people. Could I be your new best friend?  Interested in meeting Wooffles? Apply to adopt him at www.causeforcanines.org. Adoption fee: $350 Must be an Ohio resident and 23 or older. Children in the home must be age 5 or older. ##2734605##

Story
This is a very difficult decision, but I'm looking for a loving, caring, and responsible home for my dog, Foxy. He is a sweet, affectionate dog who loves being around people, playing outside, and going on daily walks. Foxy is kid-friendly and has been raised around my 10-year-old stepson and my 16-month-old son since he was a puppy. He is fully potty trained and will let you know when he needs to go outside by sitting at the door, staring at you, or whining. Due to balancing two jobs and caring for my family, I can no longer give Foxy the time and attention he deserves. My only goal is to find him a family who will love him as much as we do. If possible, I would truly appreciate occasional updates on how he's doing. Thank you for considering giving Foxy the loving forever home he deserves.

Story
Mochi is a Golden Retriever that we fostered and decided to own. She was dumped in a box with 4-5 other puppies in front of a human society at 8 weeks old, so we have had her since essentially birth. Mochi was born in February 2023. A DNA revealed that she is mostly Golden Retriever at 79%. Perhaps we did not expose her to others at a young age, or mainly because she is a female Golden, because she is sassy/ defensive, and does not like people, which is unfortunate, because everyone wants to pet her because she is so pretty! But she will growl and bark at strangers. She does get along very well with other dogs (as long as they don't try to steal her food!) Mochi does well at non-leash dog parks. Speaking of which, Mochi is VERY FOOD MOTIVATED. She starts opening up to strangers when food is involved. Occasionally, her paws get itchy, so itchy cream and powder can be used to relieve the itch. Given her defensive behavior, I am requesting an experienced adopter. Thank you.
