Story
Next up… Golden Retriever lovers? 💛 Meet Isabella, our big, beautiful, extra-lovable 7-year-old Golden Retriever Queen 👑 This sweet girl came to us… well… very loved at 119 lbs 😅 She’s a BIG girl, but here’s the good news: ✅ Perfect bloodwork ✅ No thyroid issues ✅ Just needs portion control + more walks Her healthy goal weight is around 80 lbs, and yes - it’s totally doable! We’ve helped other chunky pups slim down before. But here’s the thing… we’d much rather see Isabella start her glow-up journey in her forever home than wait 6+ months in rescue just to hit her goal weight first. And let us tell you about her personality… Isabella is the easiest, sweetest, gentlest girl. Truly a classic Golden Retriever in every way. She loves everyone, trusts instantly, and would happily leave with a complete stranger 😂 ✨ Isabella’s must haves: Someone active and committed to helping her lose weight safely with daily walks, a low-calorie diet and joint supplements. She does best in a one-story home since stairs are tough on her joints right now. 💛 Isabella’s highlight reel: • Cat friendly • Dog friendly • Loves all people • Rides great in the car • Can be left loose all day (no destruction, no accidents!) • Calm, gentle, and affectionate • Would absolutely thrive in just about any home 💔 Bonus info for the big-hearted: Isabella has been with her sister for 7 years — a blind, three-legged Black Lab who will be available for adoption soon. They are in separate foster homes currently. If there is an actual angel on earth willing to reunite these two, we would absolutely love to talk 🥺 (Not required at all — just putting it out into the universe.) They are not bonded and are currently apart, so Isabella is fine to be adopted by herself. 📍 Isabella is fostered in Tampa and is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $250. www.love4pawsfl.org/adopt So… who’s ready to take this sweet girl on her weight-loss glow-up journey and give her the loving forever home she deserves? 💛 She’s ready to love you with her whole (currently extra-fluffy) heart 🥰

Story
*****PLEASE READ ENTIRELY BEFORE APPLYING***** Our very special, Millie 🩷 This sweet English Cream Golden Retriever is looking for a special, experienced home. She is NOT a "normal golden retriever" that you can take everywhere with you. Please read. Last fall, Millie was dumped in the woods, most likely by a breeder and very unsocialized. For 2+ months, experienced dog trappers tried to catch Millie and she just evaded everything. She survived both hurricanes alone in the woods and without any shelter 💔 Thankfully, she eventually got stuck in someone’s yard and was able to be captured in November - it was a miracle! This poor girl was full of fleas, ticks and heartworm positive. She has now been in a foster home since, was spayed and completed heartworm treatment! ❤️‍🩹 Millie LOVES dogs and can’t spend one minute without them. You can always find her glued to another dog or blending into a pack hoping that she’s invisible to humans. There isn’t one single dog that Millie wouldn’t like and she would actually love doggy daycare. She is very playful with other dogs and is truly a wonderful girl who is house trained, crate trained, very food motivated, very submissive and would never do a thing wrong. However, she wants nothing to do with humans. She doesn't want to be near you, is fearful when you approach or corner her and the slightest noise can send her into a complete panic. So, we are looking for a savvy home. Someone very experienced and someone who "gets it" and will follow our instructions to a T with keeping her safe. If she escapes, she will likely never be caught. Basic criteria: ✔️ She ideally needs a home with 2+ large dogs. She's most comfortable in a pack and we don't feel that one dog will be enough for her. However, if you are a very secure, helicopter dog parent with just 1 dog, please reach out. She needs a playful bestie though. ✔️ She would likely be cat friendly ✔️ Must have a securely 6ft fenced yard. She can jump a shorter fence. ✔️ No children or frequently visiting kids Most important criteria: ✔️ Someone who NEVER lets their dog off leash, never uses retractable leashes and whose dog never slips out the front door. We need a paranoid helicopter parent who doesn't think it's safe to let their dog run out the front door off leash or be off leash anywhere at all. She is not for a first time dog owner. She needs to stay as close to Tampa as possible, but no more than an hour away. If you feel that you could be a potential forever home for her, please complete an application and email us with a little more about you at info@love4pawsfl.org. Millie is in Odessa (Tampa) and her adoption fee is $400. She is about 60lbs, 2 years old, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. ➡️ Application: www.love4pawsfl.org/adopt

Story
🎀 Quinn 🎀 This sweet red Goldendoodle was surrendered to us by a breeder after spending the first half of her life in an outdoor kennel. At first, she was absolutely terrified—she had no idea how to walk on a leash and had likely never lived in a home before. Since then, she has blossomed into a happy, affectionate girl with a whole lot of personality 💕 Have you ever had a dog who smiles? 😄 If you say “Quinnniiieeee!!!” really obnoxiously, she will wiggle and smile at you with her teeth 😂 It’s very affectionate and she does it when she’s excited to see her foster mom or when she doesn’t want to come inside, lol. At home, Quinn is playful, loving, calm, and very well behaved. She LOVES chasing the other dogs in the yard and is happiest when she’s with her pack. You’ll usually find her sleeping glued to another dog, but if you get up in the middle of the night, you’ll hear her tail beating as she hopes you’ll come love on her 🩷 She may even greet you at your side of the bed with a kiss. Once Quinn bonds with you, she bonds deeply—she will follow her person from room to room and just wants to be near the human she trusts. She absolutely adores her foster mama. While Quinn is wonderful at home, she is still very scared out in the world. She is extremely shy at first and slow to trust new people and new environments. She is submissive, gentle, and wouldn’t hurt a fly—but new situations can be overwhelming for her. In public, Quinn can be “flighty,” so she wears an escape-proof harness as she will try to back out if frightened. Because Quinn is very settled into her foster home, she will need a very patient, understanding adopter who is willing to meet with her a few times prior to adoption to help build trust and allow her to adjust at her own pace. She’s not a dog who can just be adopted on the first visit. Quinn also has a manageable medical need. She eats Royal Canin Low Fat Gastrointestinal food, takes generic Pepcid twice daily, and receives daily probiotics (purina fortiflora). She experiences acid reflux related to some tracheal irritation that occurred during intubation for her spay surgery. She has been fully evaluated at the UF Small Animal Hospital in Gainesville, and no further treatment is needed—her condition is well managed with her current routine. MUST HAVES: Quinn must have another dog that will play with her, a fenced yard, and a calm, adult-only home (no kids). She would love to join a pack, but one compatible canine best friend could be just fine if she clicks. She is a very sensitive girl and will absolutely let us know where she feels safe and happy 🙂 *This is a very transparent bio, but we don't mean for it to sound scary. She's an awesome, playful, easy dog to care for at home. Quinn is about 50 lbs and 5.5 years old. She’s spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. She is located in Odessa (Tampa area), and her adoption fee is $300. ➡️ www.love4pawsfl.org/adopt

Story
I have had Maui for 8 years but my financial situation has changed drastically and now I cannot afford him. He eats Hill Science food for sensitive stomach and skin. He recently had a gastrointestinal infection and is on antibiotic but he also has joint issues and I've discover two masses that I cannot get checked out because of my financial situation. I don't have family that can take him and even low cost vets are still too much for me. I need someone that can take him and give him the care that he needs.

Story
I have had Maui for 8 years now. When he was gifted to me, I had a higher paying job, a house with my sister, my niece, nephew, brother in law, and mother so it was always a full house. Maui had a backyard he could run and play around and get the exercise he needed. Back in November 2025, we all went our separate ways. I had to get an apartment on my own and all the bills are now on me. I am struggling financially but more importantly, Maui is now spending most of his time alone because of my work hours. I hate to do this because he is very special to me but my lack of finance and work hours makes it so I can't give him the care and love he deserves. I'm looking for someone who can give him an active lifestyle and the love he deserves. Preferably a family with another dog(s) so even if the family can't always be home, at least he'll have dog's company. Please, can someone help Maui and I? I don't have a car so interested party will have to pick Maui up.
