We adopted Reacher mid-December 2025. He is two and a half years old, and has been in a shelter for over a year.He pulled on his leash at the shelter, but we were sure we could handle him with some training. We discovered he is very reactive to other dogs and small critters.(lizards)Mostly he barks and lunges at the dogs or at the window if he's inside. Neither of us is able to keep control of him as he's 65 pounds and too strong for either of us to handle. In spite of all this, he's learned a lot while with us and we're xxxx@xxxx.x 's a loving companion in our home. Reacher is obviously very smart and picks up on most training easily. He has been hesitant with people,but with a few minutes to warm up to you, he's excited and eager to gets head scratches and pets or treats. He needs someone with experience training a reactive dog, and would thrive with some room to run around.

Meet Cacao! A sweet eight-year-old Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever mix currently in Farragut, TN, whose gentle spirit and glossy mostly black coat make her an easy companion to adore. Cacao weighs about 50 pounds and carries herself with the relaxed confidence of a girl who truly enjoys life’s simple joys. Walks through the neighborhood, peaceful hikes along wooded trails, and splashing swims are some of her favorite adventures. When the outing ends, she happily settles in with a beloved stuffed toy and plenty of cozy snuggle time. Her affectionate personality shines brightest when she is near her people. Cacao forms strong bonds and loves being included in everyday moments, whether that means riding in the car, joining a family walk, or curling up beside her favorite human for the evening! She is friendly with strangers and especially charming around cats, who she greets with playful curiosity and gentle manners. Her easygoing nature also shows in the commands she already knows, including sit, stay, and shake. With continued positive reinforcement and encouragement, she happily keeps learning new skills. Cacao thrives in a caring environment where she can spend plenty of time with her people and join daily routines. She is calm during short periods alone, yet she feels happiest when companionship and shared activities fill her days. This loyal girl also requires a prescription GI diet to support her sensitive stomach, and she happily sticks to her routine, including nightly dental chews and several enjoyable walks each day. A fenced yard would give her extra space to explore between adventures. More than anything, Cacao is a cuddly companion who loves sharing quiet moments and joyful outings with the people she trusts. Her warm heart, playful spirit, and cat friendly charm make her a wonderful addition to a new loving home. She also enjoys gentle routines, cozy beds, and quietly watching the world beside her favorite people.
