You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Rocky, a stunning 3-year-old Golden Retriever with a big personality and even bigger potential! Weighing 75 pounds, Rocky is a high-energy boy looking for an active, dog-savvy family to help him grow into the amazing companion we know he can be. He thrives on attention and activity, so a securely fenced yard and plenty of time for play and exercise are an absolute must. Rocky is currently in a boarding facility, where he’s been working with a trainer. His trainer says he seems to be pretty easygoing with different kinds of people, but he does need an assertive, experienced handler for walks, as he is extremely strong and could pull someone off their feet if not managed properly. Rocky is still learning his manners so he’ll need consistent training and patient guidance to understand boundaries and expectations. He’s shown friendly interest in the daycare dogs he sees through the fence, particularly those who are not intact, but he has not yet been tested with other dogs or cats, so any introductions should be done slowly and carefully. We are not recommending a home with children at this time, as we have no history of him living with kids and he could accidentally knock them over. Rocky is also heartworm positive and cannot be neutered until he completes treatment, making a foster or foster-to-adopt home the ideal environment for him right now. With structure, consistent training, and lots of love, Rocky is ready to become the well-mannered, loyal, and fun Golden we know he can be. I’m almost 2 years old, fluffy, sweet, and full of love—and I’ve been waiting for my forever home for almost a year now. Some people see that I’m blind and keep scrolling. But what they don’t see is how quickly I learn my surroundings, how confidently I walk beside my people, or how happy I am just being close to the ones I love. I don’t need eyes to find my way into your heart—I just need a chance. I love going for walks, soaking up outdoor adventures, and cuddling after a long day. My foster family even took me camping, and I did great! I may not see the world, but I experience it with my whole heart. I do best as the only dog so I can feel safe and secure, and I’m wonderful with older kids who understand how I move through life.  It would be nice for me to have a fenced yard so I could run like the wind, but I could also settle for lots of walks with my family. I think I am pretty smart, I know "sit" and "shake". I love car rides and I sleep through the night.  I am the perfect medium size, the humans tell me I weigh 50lbs. I’m crate trained, spayed, up to date on my vaccines, and I occasionally need eye drops—nothing scary, I promise. What I really need is someone patient, kind, and ready to love a dog who will give them everything she has in return. I’ve waited so long. I’m still here. And I’m still hoping that someone out there will finally choose me. Story
Trip is a very loving and playful dog. He was mostly raised on a farm home with another dog & lots of space to roam and run, unfortunately we have moved into an apartment the past year or so and I think it’s affecting him. He been slightly snappy. Has been aggressive towards other dogs and barks and people, doesn’t get along with other dogs when there are toys or food around. Not sure why but it’s becoming more and more of a habit. He protects the house for sure don’t get me wrong but because I live in an apartment it’s becoming a little too much. It hurts to have to give him up but I think it’s best for both of us. I would love for him to go into a loving home, he’s very much an adventures dog, I would have him roam acres and I can just call him and he appears.. he’s very good at that. He loves to run and protect. If anyone feels like they can handle it please reach out.
