Unfortunately, my allergies are getting worse and my specialist has advised that I need to re house him. He is a house dog, house-trained. Likes to play. He does shed. We are looking for someone to take him and give him a nice loving home.

Are you loooking for a sweet ride or die? Look no further. Butch is a delightful friend and SO SMART!  Rescued from a tethered hell. Butch languished for months on a cable tether. He was not fed well and he was taunted... treated like a vicious beast. He was frustated and anxious. Afraid and alone. Within moments of meeting him, we saw something different. We spent time sitting on the stoop, tossing him bits of our lunch. Eventually he settled enough to start catching the bits we tossed him. We then asked him to sit. And HE DID.  How were we to believe this was a bad dog? He is a good dog that has been treated badly. We have had him for a couple weeks now and he is a new man. He is a big sweet, intelligent goof ball. He has started playing and loves to go for truck rides. He uses his nose to move your hand if he needs something. He is just amazing. He is not a purebred Golden retriever but he is SO GOLDEN! He is not recommended around small children, small animals or other dogs. He is intitailly distrusting of strangers but warms up to kindness quickly.  He weighed 75 pounds when rescued and was VERY thin! He will likelt be a 100 pound dog when he is fully filled out! We have videos on our facebook that share the progression of his rescue. Just Search "BUTCH" in out facebook page.  We have just a few volunteers and there is a week or two turnaround for adoption applications. From Ocean`s Foster mom:My foster girl, Ocean, resting at home after our evaluation session at Dog Walker Ranch with trainer Cierra. Ocean is the best girl, but can be a little strong on the leash so she and I will be “going to school” to learn proper leash skills! She has been with me for 10 days now and there are so many good things to know about her. Ocean is completely housebroken and has had not one accident here. She is definitely food and treat motivated, but does not resource guard her food or toys. My 15 lb dachshund mix steals from her and bosses her around! Ocean takes it all in stride. Ocean was known to bark and make a ruckus at her kennel door at the shelter, but I believe it was because she just wants to be with people. I have barely heard a peep out of her here! She will give a Woof in support of my little guy who barks like crazy but in general is quiet. Ocean is not a fan of the crate, but she can be left alone for hours and seems to just nap until we return. She has never been destructive while here. We’ve had one meeting with my inside cat and it went well, but she does get a little excited when the barn cat runs by the patio door. Ocean loves car rides and hops in on command and sits nicely. Meeting people, big and small, is her favorite thing and she shows it with her whole body wiggle and kisses. We will be doing some field trips as part of training where perhaps Ocean will meet her future forever family.
