Story
We adopted Reacher mid-December 2025. He is two and a half years old, and has been in a shelter for over a year.He pulled on his leash at the shelter, but we were sure we could handle him with some training. We discovered he is very reactive to other dogs and small critters.(lizards)Mostly he barks and lunges at the dogs or at the window if he's inside. Neither of us is able to keep control of him as he's 65 pounds and too strong for either of us to handle. In spite of all this, he's learned a lot while with us and we're xxxx@xxxx.x 's a loving companion in our home. Reacher is obviously very smart and picks up on most training easily. He has been hesitant with people,but with a few minutes to warm up to you, he's excited and eager to gets head scratches and pets or treats. He needs someone with experience training a reactive dog, and would thrive with some room to run around.
