Story
Zach is a 1 year old Golden Retriever. He belonged to my in-laws, but due to my mother in law having a stroke they're not able to care for him as he needs. We are rehoming him on their behalf to help reduce their stress. The good: He is a sweet natured dog, is not reactive to the dog we have, gets along well with our children. He went through training at Petsmart as a puppy. Is housetrained. Needs work: I think he was left in the cage a lot, seems to have forgotten most of the training he learned. Has chased our cat, but I'm not sure if it's to play or not. Does not walk well on a leash. Has been snappy at me when trying to take away items he has picked up and shouldn't have. Has dandruff. Is not neutered based on vet recommendation that it wait until 12-18 months. I would love to see him go to a home that has experience retraining dogs, I believe he would make a great family pet in a situation that is equipped to provide him a firm hand and lots of attention. Comes with crate.
