Story
Meet our super sweet, handsome Gus! He’s a newly turned 1 year old, 80 lb Golden Retriever/German Shepherd mix. He’s an incredibly loving boy who enjoys all the affection you can give him and then some. His foster mama has been working on basic commands with him, and he has caught on fast. Gus is fully housebroken and crate trained, and lets you know when he needs to go outside. He has not had any accidents inside at all. He’s good with children and he LOVES to play with other dogs. Gus is loyal to his people. He can sometimes be a tad shy with new people right at first, but warms up quickly and is a big happy guy. He’s a great dog! He is not high energy, but he’d love a family who will take him on walks sometimes, keep him socialized, take him for joyrides in the car, and keep him forever. Due to no fault of his own, he was surrendered to us by his family who had fallen on hard times. They had bred his mother, resulting in Gus, so his breed mix should be accurate. He is now neutered, up to date on all vetting and vaccines, on heartworm and flea/tick prevention, microchipped, and ready to meet you! His adoption donation fee is: $375. You must APPLY in the drop-down menu on our website at: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org/adoption-application We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you. Thank you for choosing adoption!! July 25, 2024, 1:25 am
