Meet Skipper — A Gentle Boy Ready for a Fresh Start Skipper is about a 5-year-old mini Goldendoodle with the sweetest soul and a heart that’s just beginning to learn what kindness feels like. He came to us alongside a female dog, and we believe they were likely used as a breeding pair. Those days are behind him now. Skipper is safe, and her future will finally be about love. He weighs about 25 lbs (and could lose a few — couldn’t we all ), and he is very sweet. Skipper is calm, gentle, and eager to please, but he’s still learning how to be a pet after a life of breeding. Because of his past, there are a few things his foster should know: He is not housebroken yet He does not know how to walk on a leash He will need patience, kindness, and reassurance as he learns Skipper will be neutered soon and needs a foster home until then. If he steals your heart (and he likely will), you get first dibs on adopting him Vet Appointments:Fosters must be able to transport Skipper to our rescue vet partners. Most vetting is done in Blackwood, NJ, with additional partners in South NJ and the Philadelphia suburbs. Fosters must be located in New Jersey or the Philadelphia area Skipper doesn’t need much — just a calm home, a soft place to land, and someone willing to show him that life can be gentle and full of love.
