Meet AryaArya was surrendered after spending her entire life with one family, and the sudden change has been incredibly hard on her. She arrived scared, confused, and heartbroken, and has been trembling as she tries to understand why everything she knew is gone.Right now, Arya is very timid and unsure around new people and unfamiliar surroundings. More than anything, she just wants to feel safe again—to find comfort and stability so she can finally relax and let her guard down. Beneath the fear is a sweet girl with a sunny personality waiting to shine once she knows she’s secure and loved.Arya is looking for a patient, gentle home that will give her the time and reassurance she needs to heal and feel like herself again.

Introducing the "E" litter ... 6 adorable golden retriever/lab mix puppies looking for forever homes.  Their mom and dad are a mix of golden retriever and lab so we expect these puppies to be on larger size when full grown (at 6 weeks old they weighed in between 4 and 5lbs).  They will be approximately 8 weeks old on May 16th when they will be available to meet with approved adopters so if you might be interested, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.   These puppies are owners surrender to a small rescue in Georgia that contacted us about helping them find homes.  They are currently entered into the "New Leash on Life" Dog Prison Program where they are getting a head start learning to sit, stay, leash walking, starting on potty training, and socialization with people and other dogs.  They are typical curious, outgoing puppies who are keen on learning and loving.  These puppies will thrive in homes ready to make them a part of their family and continue to reinforce their current training.  Give them the 4 T's (time, training, TLC and treats) and they will give you their hearts!Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! Story
Luna, 2 1/2, is a gorgeous, loving and playful Golden that LOVES people.. She’s very sweet, receptive, intuitive and so very much loved. Sleeps and naps in her crate. Loves outdoors, lots of pets, her toys and puzzles. She is used to a fenced yard and uses a dog door to go potty. Food allergies which are well controlled with hydrolyzed salmon kibble and her probiotic (but watch your people food and counter!) She knows some commands (sit, wait ect). Luna’s special and so loved and this decision is heartbreaking for us. She needs an experienced family; calm, firm kind, as with her occasionally stolen objects she will resource guard and will trade only after she’s shown a high quality treat then a brief wait to slowly take it. I know this will stop- but further progress is impossible due to inconsistency with dad (illness) . We wish her to reach her full, amazing potential and have the life she deserves, which we, sadly, not can’t give her due to serious illness and an uncertain future.

Meet Alfredo (Alfie) Fostered in Whiting, NJ Alfie is a 6 yo Golden Retriever / Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix with the sweetest, calmest little soul He loves being near his people, gently soaking up pets and sitting right by your side He’s an easygoing, happy boy who enjoys the outdoors, exploring, and soft toy snuggles (with a little stuffing mischief ) Dog friendly (slow intro, then loves to play!) Kid, adult & elderly friendly House trained & doing well on leash Calm, gentle, and affectionate A fenced yard for lounging would be a dream come true but he’s calm enough for apartment living too He’s done great with older kids/tweens, but hasn’t been around babies or toddlers yet. Alfie would do best in a quieter home—not too loud or chaotic—and with someone home often, as that’s helped him really blossom He can be a bit sensitive to sudden noises, so gentle reassurance goes a long way Another friendly dog or a home where he’s not left alone for long hours would be ideal He’s also a tiny bit chunky, so a family who will enjoy walks and playtime with him would be perfect Alfie is truly a soft-hearted, loving boy who just wants to be close to his people and be part of your world Alfredo is neutered,.
