Sadly we cannot keep our rescue pup, Sonic. We are searching for the right loving home, with no small children. He is great with big kids. He is such a cuddle bug, potty trained, comes when called, all around great dog. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. He takes Simpirica Trio monthly for fleas and ticks, and is great health. He is a 2 year old mix and loves to run, play fetch and frisbee. When indoors he likes to lay around and be close to people.

Peanut was born around December  23, 2023 and might top out in the 50ish pound range.  Peanut was rescued from the streets of Puerto Rico. We know mom was a Golden Retriever and we included her photo in this description but we have no idea what dad was.  Peanut is working on house training in her foster home and doing well.  This sweet little girl would be a great addition to just about any family!  The Adoption Fee for this dog is $600.00 Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.    Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES   We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. He is so happy and loves meeting every new person. His perfect home has no other animals and no young children under the age of 16. She is a beautiful Golden Retriever and Rottweiler mix. We adopted her from a family when she was a puppy and she was bred to be a very loyal dog. She is very good with other adults and cats. I would say at her age it's best for her to be the only dog in the family. She is 12 years old and is up to date on all of her vaccines and visits and she is spayed. She is still very lively and she had a bunch of tests done this year and is in great shape. She is around 90 pounds. She loves to be pet and groomed. With a special needs child and a baby, we would love her to live out her final years with a family who can give her all the attention she deserves. We are also moving so we would love for her to go to the an amazing dog home who loves Goldens as her personality is all golden.

My name is Milo and I am about 2 1/2 yrs old....I arrived at the shelter with another dog....we are here because we are part of a neglect case - we were skin and bones when we arrived at the shelter. I weighed just 50lbs and you could see my hip bones....I am now gaining weight and starting to fill out...but I have a ways to go as I should weigh 65 - 75 lbs. The staff have been compassionate and showing me that all humans are not bad...so I am not as scared and doing much better. So given some time and patience I will be a great dog!
