Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Graham is a beautiful, big-hearted boy with a tail that never stops wagging and an energy level to match! This one-year-old, 80-pound Lab Retriever (Maybe Newfie) mix is the definition of joyful enthusiasm. Always ready to run, play, and chase his foster dog sibling around the yard, Graham thrives on activity and would be the perfect fit for a home that can keep up with his zest for life. While Graham is all about movement and fun, he also has a deeply sweet and affectionate side. After a good play session, he loves to stretch out at your feet, soaking up belly rubs and relaxing in your presence. His loyalty and love for his humans shine through in these quiet moments, making him a wonderful companion both during high-energy adventures and peaceful downtime. Graham is still mastering his training, including basic commands and leash manners, but he’s a smart boy who is eager to learn and responds well to positive reinforcement—especially if treats are involved! He’s mostly housetrained and keeps his crate clean, and although he may bark briefly when crated, he settles quickly with a toy or treat to keep him company. This happy pup gets along well with other dogs and even cats, although he prefers to take on the “alpha” role with other dogs in the home. He’s not aggressive—just confident and in charge—so a home with a laid-back canine companion could be a great match. He’s also wonderful in the car, riding quietly in a crate, ready to accompany you on your next road trip or outdoor adventure. Graham would do best in an active home with a fenced yard where he can safely run and burn off his youthful energy. Whether it's long walks, games of fetch, or simply chasing butterflies in the backyard, he’ll need regular physical and mental stimulation to be his happiest self. If you're looking for a loyal, energetic, and affectionate best friend who will stick by your side through every hike, play session, and cuddle break, Graham could be the perfect addition to your family. He’s a shining example of everything we love about Labs—joyful, loving, and ready for a lifetime of companionship. Interested in adopting? Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. June 7, 2025, 11:23 am
