Story
Ginger is a free-spirited, typical golden gal who loves human attention. She loves everyone she meets and loves to play. She enjoys hanging with her sister, Snap. She is an active dog who would do best with an active owner to keep her busy with walks, hiking, etc. She will whine when he doesn't have enough to do (Mom! I'm boooored!!). She is fully potty trained and will go in the kennel when asked but has also been trustworthy when left out. He likes to play with other dogs his size with proper introductions. Ginger is not a fan of felines, so we would recommend a home without cats as she is too tempted to chase them. Ginger is likely a great candidate for some organized dog training classes to keep that active mind challenged.

Story
Sniffy Longdroppings came from the Lancaster animal shelter. He is smart and loves to be close to you. He tries to give polar bear hugs and is learning that he gets more love when all four on the floor. He needs a strong leader to provide training and good guidance in life. He is afraid of going to the vet but who isn't a little scared of that. He is learning to be better around other dogs but will need continued leadership. Perhaps an adult only home without other pets would be ideal for Sniffy.

Story
I am a young girl with a lot of energy; my foster mom says I'm a spitfire! I met with the vet and I am doing great. I am scheduled for my spay soon and may have a small hernia fixed then, too. I have a history of some GI distress, but I am on some special food and it hasn't bothered me lately. I like to wear t-shirts sometimes when I have a bit too much energy and need to calm down. Extra time in my foster mom's lap helps, too. A perfect forever home for me will probably not have super young kids; older kids are fine. I like dogs my size, but get a little nervous around overly friendly larger dogs. I even made friends with an older cat who lives here! I'm crate trained and willingly go into my crate when I need some quiet time and at night and I sleep in it all night long. We're still working on consistent potty training. I'm picky about grass height and I don't like wet grass. I need a fenced in yard.

Story
Snap is a sweet girl at 9 years old. And what we would call an easy keeper. She is content in most circumstances but will bark if she needs something, even barks for attention. She likes to sit with you and be near her human. Quieter than her sister, Ginger, she gets along with everyone

Story
Meet Georgie Jumbo! Georgie is a 1-year-old Golden Retriever/German Shepherd mix with a big heart, a goofy smile, and a whole lot of charm! This smart and playful pup is the total package — affectionate, curious, and always up for fun. Currently weighing about 45 lbs, Georgie is expected to grow to around 50–60 lbs. He’s full of puppy energy and joy, and he absolutely loves playing with other dogs. While he hasn’t met cats or kids just yet, his intelligence and eager-to-please personality suggest he could warm up to them with proper introductions and training. Georgie is crate-trained, doing great with house training, and learning more every day. Like any young pup, he’s still polishing his manners — but he's off to a fantastic start! If you're looking for a loyal, cuddly, and fun-loving companion to grow with, Georgie Jumbo might just be your perfect match! Interested in becoming a forever home for Georgie Jumbo? For immediate consideration, please fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we DO NOT go any further without an application. If there are multiple dogs that you are interested in, please fill out an application for each dog. This does not include bonded pairs, one application will be fine. We have different adoption coordinators working with different dogs, and your application may be missed if you only apply once. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Georgie Jumbo. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Georgie Jumbo the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!
