Maybelline is a dynamo! She is loving, gentle, athletic, good with children (based on what her former family said), good with other dogs (nothing would make her happier than having her sister adopted with her). Maybelline's mom was a Golden Retriever and her dad was a Goldendoodle based on what the former owners gold us. To adopt one of our animals, the first step is filling out OUR ADOPTION APPLICATION at https://tapsusa.org/why-adopt/application/ Please make sure you get a confirmation that your application has been submitted. If you are a match for one of our pets, we will reach out to you to schedule a meet and greet. All meet and greets are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY The Animal Protectorates c/o Friendsville Animal Center 706 Kiser Station Road Friendsville, TN 37737 All animals are spayed/neutered, current on age appropriate vaccinations and microchipped before they go to new homes because that's the responsible way to keep them all safe. We only adopt to local homes in the immediate vicinity because we utilize our volunteer force to process home visits. Photos of your home, letters of reference are not acceptable which is why we only adopt locally. Only in very rare circumstances do we adopt out of area. Examples of this would be finding the perfect home for a senior animal or one that has other special needs that we have not been able to place locally for an extended period of time. Story
Flynn is a joyful, goofy, incredibly loving golden retriever who is nearly 2 years old. He came to us heartworm positive, but he has received full treatment and is doing wonderfully. From here, he simply needs to remain on monthly heartworm prevention, which is an easy way to keep him healthy moving forward. Thanks to his treatment and resilience, Flynn is ready for a fresh start with a family of his own. Flynn loves dogs, people, squeaky balls, Benebones, cuddles, belly rubs, and food. He’s crate trained, potty trained, and full of happy energy. He also enjoys playfully chasing cats, especially if they run. He would thrive in a loving, active home that can give him plenty of playtime, structure, and affection while celebrating the happy, healthy future he has ahead of him. Currently in a foster home in Chattanooga, TN, and available for transport to most locations within the continental United States. Meet Sassy Sassy is a roughly one-year-old, 47-lb sweetheart with a gentle soul and a fluffy golden-white coat. We believe she’s a Golden Retriever / Great Pyrenees mix, giving her that perfect blend of softness, loyalty, and calm charm. Sadly, Sassy came to us heartworm positive, and she’s just beginning treatment. Because of this, we’re looking for a quiet, low-activity home where she can rest and heal comfortably during her recovery. TiggerTown will guide fosters or adopters through the treatment process — we just need a loving place for her to land. She is fully vetted (spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, on prevention for flea/tick, etc.) Sassy is: Potty trained Crate trained Dog friendly (with most dogs) Great with older kids NOT good with cats She’s an easy dog to love — sweet, steady, and grateful for kindness. Meet Pearl! She is a 3 year old Goldendoodle with a rough start to life, but is blossoming into a wonderful dog. Still a little timid, Pearl is her best when she has another canine companion and would blossom in a home with a confident sibling. Pearl has bonded closely with her foster mom and can often be found right by her side. Very food motivated, Pearl picks up new things quickly and is a dream to train. She loves pets and will give kisses in thanks. Her ideal home would have a backyard to run around in and a canine sibling to show her the world isn't so scary. As with any poodle mix, Pearl will need regular grooming and brushing to maintain her glorious coat and avoid matting. Pearl is up to date on all vaccines, spayed, and microchipped.
