Story
Hi, my name is Hachimitsu! It's so nice to meet you! I'm around 2 yrs old and I'm a Golden Retriever mix. I'm 81.5 pounds and I'm very healthy and up to date with all my vaccines! I'm already neutered too! I am very friendly and love being with my family and I always fall asleep when I'm with them! I'm super sweet but I don't like being alone. I'm a car doggy so I'm always ready for a ride! I would like a home with no other pets, just myself and my humans, since I don't get along with other dogs or cats. I'm not much of the playing type, so I'd rather lie around and sleep by humans' side. I'm an adventurer so I know how to open doors and jump fences, so I need a home with a high fence. I like to chase around small animals and I get a bit too excited when I see them. I hope you can be my forever family!Hachimitsu's photos:https://photos.app.goo.gl/MXTBbGBsJsYEgAQx5

Story
Champ was found standing at our back gate. We aren't sure whether he was lost or abandoned. Champ loves people and greeted the young children in the office with enthusiastic kisses. Super sweet, happy, and simply wants to be loved. He sits and shakes with both of his paws.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.    =============== Please contact  app@aarfhouston.org for more information about this dog. You can apply online by clicking on Application . ADOPTION FEE:  The adoption fee includes vaccinations, bordetella, deworming, rabies, Microchip including a lifetime registration and spay/neuter.   PUPPIES   Texas State law requires that we sterilize any animal adopted through this agency.     This will normally occur between 5 and 6 months at one of our approved veterinarians at the expense of the rescue. Children under 8 years old  often are not a good match for our puppies and dogs.   In order to protect both, your child and our rescued dogs/puppies from harm, we seldom if ever adopt to families with young children. Approval:  You will be notified via email once your application is approved.  Once notified, we will schedule a meet and greet at one of our approved locations.   Thank you for considering a rescue! The adoption fee includes vaccinations, Bordetella, de-worming, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip. There is a an additional $12.99 fee for Home Again for a lifetime registration of the microchip. Puppies cannot be adopted outside of the Houston area until they are spay/neutered after they are 4 months old. It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it. NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others. AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation , no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you. Story
ASVT does not have a facility; all of our adoptable pets live in volunteer foster homes until they are adopted. Bridget is the PERFECT girl! Briget is amazing as she, along with her 5- 8 week old puppies were literally tossed out of a vehicle on the fm1097 bridge.  A good Samaritan stopped and gathered everyone up in her car, which was occupied by her own dog and a 10 month old baby!!  Bridget and pups were taken to a vet who then called ASVT for help.  ASVT took them in and all  are ready for a well deserved loving person or family. Briget is housetrained and a perfect companion as she will follow you everywhere and sleep at your bedside. She gets along great with other dogs and cats.  Truly a resilient beautiful girl.  If you would like to meet Bridget please fill out the adoption application.  www.asvtexas.org and click on Adopt!  Thank you!!Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip and rabies and other core vaccinations. Please complete an adoption application at http://www.asvtexas.org/adoption-application.html. May 28, 2023, 5:44 pm
