Story
Looking for the right forever home for a sweet dog who deserves a calm environment where he can thrive. He is house-trained, neutered, and has completed obedience training. He's a smart, affectionate dog who does well with people and enjoys being part of the family. Unfortunately, after having him in my home for the past month, it has become clear that he is not a good fit with other animals. He would do best as the only pet in the home. Due to his anxiety and need for a quieter environment, I also believe he would be happiest in a home without babies or very young children. This is a difficult decision because he is a good dog, but I want to find a situation where he can be successful and comfortable. Story
Ted is about 2 years old and has been with our family for 1 1/2 years. He was rehomed to us from a family with a small child who was crating Ted daily on their porch. Ted is an intact male who is house trained and will sit on command. He is food motivated as well. He is an inside dog in our home who sleeps on the floor next to the bed or in one of the dog bed bean bags we have. Ted does not get along with our older 7 year old doodle who is smaller. Ted continues to attack him (assert dominance) and would do best in a home as a single dog. He is very goofy and clumsy. He is super sweet and likes to sit in your lap or as close to it as he can to get love and pets. He is also a leaner and will lean against you to get pets. Once attached to a person/family, Ted is very protective and will not let strangers approach. Ted also looooves to fetch. We would love to talk to you more about Ted. He is a good boy who needs to be in a single dog family. He has a lot of love to give.
