Active Dog Needing Experienced HomeHugo is a highly-intelligent, active dog who enjoys walks, retrieving, outdoor activities, and being with his people. He walks well on a leash, has great recall, and is not bothered by cats. He's also a quick learner, and loves to learn new tricks. He can be selective with other dogs, so introductions should be done carefully.Hugo is best suited for an experienced dog owner who understands high-energy breeds and can provide structure, consistency, and daily physical and mental exercise. A home with a yard or acreage would be ideal.It is important to note that Hugo experiences confinement anxiety and does not do well in a crate. He would do best in a home where someone is around frequently or has experience managing separation and confinement-related behaviours.We are not looking for a quick placement. Finding the right home is our top priority, and we will ask questions to ensure a good match.
