Story
These dogs would come as a pair because they have spend their whole lives being together. They are from separate litters but are believed to have the same dad. Scout is a male (10) and Oakley a female (8). They are miniature golden doodles and both around 30 pounds. They are hypoallergenic and do not shed. They are still energetic despite their age so they need to be exercised. They would do well in a home without young children and infants. Scout has more poodle in his personality. He's very smart but also can be stubborn when motivated to want something for himself. He will play fetch all day long. He walks extremely well on a leash and is used to being walked with Oakley. He is used to being in a kennel during the day and allowed to sleep in bed with his preferred human at night. Oakley is more retriever in her personality. She is very laid back and can even be a little timid at times especially with large groups of people. Walks well on leash with Scout.

Story
Billy is being fostered in O'Fallon MO Announcing Billy!  Billy is just a young sweet boy who is looking for his  forevers!  He is a cream colored Goldendoodle that found himself in an Aussie rescue because his foster mom couldn't say no to helping this sweet soul!  His gorgeous hazel eyes just scream "LOVE ME PLEASE!"  Billy LOVES other dogs and loves to play with them!  He would love another playful dog in the home to romp around with and burn off his extra puppy energy.   Billy is GREAT with everyone he meets especially if they have treats; but because of his size at 65lbs and his exhuberance, we think children over 8 would be best for him and a fenced in yard that he can run and play would be an ideal home for him.  He is a little reserved when you first meet him BUT those treats go a long way with him.  He is affectionate and thinks he is a lap dog!  Billy still pulls on leash a bit and he is working on that in his foster home.  He is crate trained, potty trained and likes his crate.  It is a safe space for him.  Billy rides well in the car and has his basic obedience down.  He knows sit, down, come, etc.  Billy's needs: An active family, a canine companion that likes to play, a fenced yard.   Billy is neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped and receiving monthly preventatives for fleas, ticks and heartworms.  Proof of heartworm prevention for any current or previous pets is required to adopt from our organization.  For more information on our adoption process or to complete an adoption application, please visit our website at www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org. Story
Spirit will be three in May. He is very spunky. He gets along well with other dogs. He goes to doggy daycare once a week. Spirit loves attention and loves to be cuddled and pet. He’s very gentle taking treats, but he has food aggression when something is of high value so we hand feed him his main meal twice a day. My husband was recently diagnosed with dementia and I still work full-time. It has become more difficult to care for this beautiful dog. Please help us find spirit a forever home.

Fuzzy is a 1 yr old Poodle mix who was abandoned by his family and spent several weeks outside fending for himself. As a result, he is a bit sad and confused and seems afraid of men. He is very gentle and may do best in a quiet home. He must have an escape-proof SECURE FENCED IN YARD in his new home.. No exceptions, NO UNDERGROUND FENCING- and we will check the yard before adoption. We are not looking for a senior adopter for this young dog and he would probably be best with older children only.Please submit an application at pawshs.org and NOT a Petfinder inquiry as they may not be answered due to the volume of these inquiries received. Bella is a very sweet 10 yr old Poodle/Chihuahua mix. Her owner passed away and she moved in with the son but his 4 children were just too much for Bella. She would wish for a quieter home and is used to a fenced in yard so we will require one. Bella is house trained and very sweet. She would do best with another small dog in the home as she is very active.
