Story
My husband and I bought this precious puppy two years ago meaning for him to be with us the rest of our lives. Unfortunately, my precious husband has just been diagnosed with stage four lung cancer that Matas into his bones. He’s gone from walking the dogs every day up to 12 miles a day to be in the bed in bed ridden he can no longer help. I have high blood pressure. I live on oxygen and a lot of diseases that slow me down it’s taken all my energy. Take care of this precious pup, and my husband is suffering for it. I need to be available to my husband every minute of the day and that’s not possible with our precious Maverick. Please help me find someone who will give him all the love and affection and adoration that we have in his first two years we have four grandchildren to interact with him on a daily basis. He loves cats grew up with three of them and one of them, his best friend. He plays well with other dogs! He needs grooming but will take that fee from adoption fee.

Meet Luca! 🐾❤️ Luca is a big, handsome boy with a whole lot of personality! Rehoming him is an incredibly difficult decision, but with four children and multiple pets, we’ve realized our home isn’t the best environment for his needs. Luca needs a home without children or other dogs, preferably with someone experienced in handling large, strong breeds. He has shown aggression toward other dogs and has been involved in a serious fight, so being the only dog is a must. He’s lived peacefully around cats and our smaller dog, but we’d prefer he be the only pet. This isn’t about getting rid of Luca. It’s about giving him the opportunity to thrive in a home better suited for him. He deserves patience, structure, love, and someone who understands his needs. We’re committed to finding him the RIGHT home, not just any home. ❤️
