Freya is a beautiful, shy girl who is looking for a specific type of home—one that moves at her pace. Freya isn’t the type of dog to run to the door to greet guests or perform tricks for treats. Instead, she shows her love on her own terms. She is at her most confident and affectionate when she is lounging on the couch or the bed. Once she feels safe and settled in her "comfort zones," she will approach you for pets, snuggles, and genuine connection. Freya has spent time trying to adjust to a busy household, but we have realized that the unpredictability of a home with children is too much for her nervous system. Because her anxiety is increasing, we know she needs an environment that we simply cannot provide: a calm, predictable, adult-only home. Ideal home: Patient Owners: Someone who understands dog body language and is happy to let her come to them for affection. Experience with Fearful Dogs: Someone who recognizes that "shutting down" or growling are her ways of communicating.
