Nyla was surrendered to a shelter after concerns about aggression toward people. However, since coming into our rescue's care, we have not experienced any issues with aggression. She has been affectionate, friendly, and eager for attention from the people she meets. As with any adopted dog, we recommend allowing her time to adjust to a new environment and family while continuing to provide structure, patience, and positive reinforcement. Nyla would do best as the only dog in the home or with dogs her size or larger, as she does not do well with small dogs. She also needs a cat-free home. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast.
