**Please note this pet is currently an out of town pet but we will transport this pet to you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Meet Nyla! Nyla is a 4-year-old sweetheart weighing about 32 pounds, and she is guaranteed to bring smiles wherever she goes. This happy, goofy girl has a fun-loving personality and a heart full of love for her people. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will keep you laughing and shower you with affection, Nyla may be your perfect match! Nyla absolutely loves people and thrives on attention. She is always excited to spend time with her family, whether that's going for a walk, hanging out in the yard, or simply relaxing together. One of her favorite activities is getting the zoomies outside, watching her race around the yard with a big smile on her face is sure to brighten your day. Her joyful personality and goofy antics make her a favorite among everyone who meets her. Nyla walks nicely on a leash and is both crate trained and house trained, making her an easy companion to welcome into your home. Nyla was surrendered to a shelter after concerns about aggression toward people. However, since coming into our rescue's care, we have not experienced any issues with aggression. She has been affectionate, friendly, and eager for attention from the people she meets. As with any adopted dog, we recommend allowing her time to adjust to a new environment and family while continuing to provide structure, patience, and positive reinforcement. Nyla would do best as the only dog in the home or with dogs her size or larger, as she does not do well with small dogs. She also needs a cat-free home. This smiley girl is ready for a fresh start with a family that will appreciate her loving nature and fun personality. If you're looking for a loyal best friend with a goofy side and lots of love to give, Nyla may be the perfect addition to your family. Interested in becoming a forever home for Nyla? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and appreciate you working with us.For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public in Oklahoma. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ/OR, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey!   You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!    The adoption fee is $1,600 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!    We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.    Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!    Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.   Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.    The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.   It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:   Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup!   Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!   Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Story
Meet Lulu — a soft, gentle soul with a heart full of love and a PhD in cozy living. At around 11 years old, Lulu has fully embraced the art of the slow, sweet life. She isn’t here for chaos or constant motion—she’s here for the good stuff: warm blankets, quiet afternoons, soft pets, and being close to her person. If you’ve ever wished for a companion who will happily curl up beside you and make your home feel instantly calmer, Lulu is exactly that kind of dog. Her favorite hobby? Finding the comfiest spot in the house and settling in like she’s been waiting for it all day. A couch, a dog bed, a sunny patch on the floor—it’s all fair game, and she makes each spot look like the coziest place on earth. Add in some gentle pets and kind words, and you’ll see her completely melt. Lulu doesn’t ask for much, but what she gives in return is something really special. Watch her YouTube video now https://youtu.be/2cRUskYyRO8?si=EAUx899WdQskmUu8 She is incredibly loving and affectionate, the kind of dog who bonds deeply and just wants to be near you. There’s something about senior dogs like Lulu—they have this quiet understanding, this calm presence that feels like comfort in its purest form. She’s not trying to figure life out anymore; she already knows what matters, and that’s love, safety, and companionship. Lulu is also wonderfully easygoing. She does great with other dogs and has been around children ages 5-8 and has proven to be gentle and sweet. She’s currently thriving in her foster home, soaking up all the love and showing just how adaptable and kind she truly is. She’s not demanding, not high-energy, not complicated—she’s just… good. With kids, we do believe that she would do best living with kids 8+. Older kids that can understand her calmer personality. If you have grandkids that come over to visit, that is totally fine as it won't be an everyday thing. She did great meeting a 5 year old girl and was so gentle around her. Lulu is just an older gal and likes for her general everyday to be on the calmer side. Adopting a senior dog like Lulu is something truly meaningful. These dogs don’t get enough attention, but they are often the most grateful, the most loyal, and the most loving companions you could ever hope for. Lulu isn’t going to chew up your shoes or bounce off the walls—she’s going to quietly become your shadow, your comfort, your little piece of peace at the end of a long day. She’s already grown into the perfect companion; she just needs someone to share that life with. LuLu is deaf and we believe she may have some limited vision, but she is a sweet soul who deserves the world. There’s a softness to Lulu that you can feel immediately. Maybe it’s in her gentle eyes, or the way she settles so easily beside you, or how she leans into affection like it’s her favorite thing in the world. She’s the kind of dog who doesn’t need to impress you—she just wins you over by being exactly who she is. All Lulu wants is a loving home where she can spend her days doing what she does best: cuddling, resting, and being adored. In return, she’ll give you unwavering love, quiet companionship, and a kind of warmth that only a dog like her can bring. If you have a soft spot for the underdogs, for the gentle hearts, for the ones who just want a place to belong—Lulu is waiting for you. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
