This beauty was adopted from an over crowded shelter and returned because her dogs were mean to her. She is about a year old and weighs 45 lbs. She is sweet and was listed "as good with other dogs" at the shelter. She is sweet. More to come as we get to know her.   ##2621786##

Story
Meet Fritz! Fritz (in the blue collar in the joint pictures) is a lovable Goldendoodle with a big heart, a playful spirit, and an endless supply of affection. He’s spent his whole life with his brother Max, and while they adore each other, they’ve also learned a bit too much mischief together. After lots of thought, it’s been decided that separating the boys will give each of them the chance to truly thrive as individuals. Fritz is high-energy, curious, and playful — always ready for fun, exploration, or a good romp. On the flip side, he is especially snuggly and affectionate, happiest when he’s curled up with his people soaking up attention. He’s a true lovebug at heart. He’s not fully housebroken yet, but this is expected to improve quickly once he’s on his own and not “untraining” alongside his brother. Fritz is a bit of a goofy guy — he would rather play, but is eager to please and absolutely trainable with consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement. Fritz would do best in an active home that can give him structure, exercise, continued training, and plenty of cuddles. With the right guidance, he’s going to be an amazing companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, silly, affectionate dog who will keep you laughing and loving every day, Fritz might be your perfect match.   ##2628454##

Story
Meet Max! Max (with the red collar) is an energetic and intelligent Goldendoodle who’s ready to put his brain to work. He’s spent his life with his brother Fritz, and while the boys are best buddies, they’ve also encouraged each other’s high-energy antics. Separating them is the best way to help each dog grow, focus, and truly shine on his own. Max is curious, playful, and full of energy, but what really sets him apart is his desire to learn and please. He wants to obey and thrives when he has structure, direction, and a job to do. Training isn’t just something Max can handle — it’s something he’ll genuinely enjoy. Like his brother, Max isn’t fully housebroken yet, but this is expected to improve significantly once he’s on his own with consistent routines and reinforcement, rather than “untraining” alongside his sibling. Max would do wonderfully in an active home that enjoys training, enrichment, and engagement. He’d be a great fit for someone interested in obedience work, agility, scent work, or simply giving a smart dog daily mental challenges. With guidance, exercise, and love, Max will be an incredibly loyal and rewarding companion. If you’re looking for a bright, motivated dog who’s eager to learn and ready for purpose, Max may be the perfect addition to your home. ##2628455##

Story
Wreathe is a spunky little red nugget with a big personality, an even bigger heart, and a serious love for cuddles! He’s learning how to play fetch with his foster siblings (and it’s the cutest thing ever), runs straight into his crate for meals and when his foster parents leave—especially if there’s a stuffed Kong involved—and is about 95% potty trained with only the occasional accident when his humans aren’t lightning fast. Wreathe loves toys, plays hard, and is very vocal, so sometimes he sounds intense, but it’s all playful energy and excitement—he’d thrive in a home with another playful dog to keep him engaged and happy. He’s still a growing puppy who will need continued training, guidance, and regular grooming, but overall Wreathe is a happy-go-lucky, lovable boy ready to bring a whole lot of joy (and fun chaos) to the right home.

Story
Lola is a 2-year-old Golden Doodle with the sweetest heart. She is incredibly loving, gentle, and does wonderful with children. We have three kids, and she has always been patient, playful, and affectionate with them. This decision has been very difficult for our family. After months of trying, Lola has not been able to adjust to living with our 12-year-old Schnauzer, likely due to the age difference. Lola is also a very anxious dog and has become increasingly fearful in our home environment, particularly around my husband. Despite our best efforts, training, and time, her anxiety has continued to worsen, and we believe she would thrive better in a calmer setting. Lola is: • Up to date on all vaccinations • Recently groomed • Fully house trained • Crate trained • Very sweet, loving, and kid-friendly We are hoping to find Lola a patient, loving home where she can feel safe and relaxed—ideally as the only dog or with a calm companion, and with someone who understands anxious dogs.

Story
Meet Noodle!   He is a tall, slim, handsome guy who is ready for his forever home.  He was out looking for help  ( or a new home )  one day when he came across a couple who helped him look for his owners.  When the owners were not found, his helpers got him into rescue.  While TSBR does not generally have DNA results on dogs in program, Noodles friends wanted to know what  makes up this handsome boy.  72 % Poodle (Medium and Standard) 24 % Golden Retriever 3 % Poodle (Toy and Miniature) 1 % American Cocker Spaniel   What a great testament to his fantastic personality! This playful, loving boy is fully vetted and ready to find his new home!   Noodle loves all the people he meets.  He knows sit, shake, down, and place and   is making good progress on leash training and  can heel.   He is house trained and uses a dog door.  Noodle sleeps quietly in either his kennel or on a dog bed  by his foster’s  bed.   He does not get up on the furniture or ask to do so but could probably be convinced if you would like this! Noodle is loved at the vet and great at the groomers.  He loves car rides and will lay on a pillow quietly in the back of the car.  Noodle does not jump on people or counter surf.  He also is not a barker.  He is a trusted member of his foster family and has full range of the house when his fosters are away.     This energetic boy loves to play with other dogs.  He is considerate of older and smaller dogs as well.  He does play energetically with dogs of his own age and size…his foster sister taught him that.  Recently, Noodle has been showing interest in stuffed toys and has a large ball that he loves to chase and carry about. Falling for Noodle…Ask to meet him~ retrieveafriend.org/adopt  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 2, 2026, 6:45 pm
