Story
Hatch is here and ready to be your scruffy crush! This boy knows how to have fun and lounge with the best! One thing we love about him is how he can fit a whole afternoon of fun into about five minutes. A little chase with a dog friend, a few happy laps around the yard, and then he’s stretched out in the grass ready to enjoy the breeze together at a perfectly leisurely pace. With that sweet scruffy face and a belly that presents itself for rubbing at the perfect time, he makes a pretty convincing case for slowing down to enjoy a moment with him. Go watch Hatch on YouTube to see him making friends, enjoying a little backyard playtime, and putting that scruffy charm to work. https://youtu.be/Dbh-EPwPuFA Hatch is friendly from the start. He’s happy to meet new people, soak up their affection, and roll onto his back when the loving is especially good. He has a comfortable way of being with people- enjoying his attention, then settling nearby while the day carries on. He’d be lovely company for someone who likes having a dog around for all the everyday stuff. And his dog friendships? Those are pretty sweet, too. Hatch recently made friends with a bouncy, tall dog named Marley and they were fast friends, almost immediately sparking up a fun game of chase before lying down in the grass together. Playing was fun, but hanging out together was clearly just as good. A friendly dog who enjoys both backyard games and a lazy afternoon could be a wonderful companion for him. Hatch brings good manners to all his doggie-friendships. He reads other dogs’ cues, respects their space, and happily shares affection from his people. He enjoys a little tug with a buddy and can sit patiently for his turn when treats are being handed out. There’s a lot to love about a boy who can have fun with the group and then settle right alongside them. He’s also a pleasant walking buddy, walking nicely beside his person and responding easily to guidance. With his enthusiasm for meeting people and dogs, a neighborhood stroll offers plenty of things to enjoy. A little fresh air, a few friendly faces, and the time with you make a good outing. Hatch has a medium-to-low energy level and would love a home with a yard where he can play, sniff around, and claim a favorite lounging spot. His ideal family enjoys including their dog in daily life, whether that means heading out for a walk, welcoming friends over, or spending an easy afternoon at home. It’s easy to picture falling for Hatch in the small moments- looking down to find that scruffy face beside you, watching him make a new friend, or giving him a belly rub that turns into a moment a little longer than planned. He’s a sweet boy to share your days with, and he’s ready to find his people. Ready to welcome Hatch into your life? Story
Arlo does not simply walk into a room, he brings the sunshine in with him. Between his gorgeous curly coat, happy-go-lucky personality, and ability to make friends everywhere he goes, this boy is pure joy on four legs. He is sweet, silly, affectionate, and completely full of life. Arlo is the kind of dog who makes ordinary days feel a little more fun just by being part of them. Watch Arlo's video and fall in love with this walking ray of sunshine: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZ8aomDv5bKyoElr66EBc7A Arlo is approximately 3 years old, weighs 55 lbs, and is believed to be a standard Poodle mix. Arlo is very dog friendly and has done great with every dog we have introduced him to. He happily greets new friends, joins them for a game of chase, and then knows when it is time to take a break. He is such a social butterfly that we could even see him enjoying doggy daycare or trips to the dog park. Arlo would do well with a medium-energy dog who enjoys playing but can also settle down afterward. Because he is a big boy with an enthusiastic play style, any dog friends in her future home should be at least 30 lbs. Smaller pups may find his excitement a little overwhelming. This smart cookie already knows how to sit and shake, especially when treats are involved. (does he know anything)?? He loves toys, loves snacks, and loves being included in whatever his people are doing. With his intelligence, eagerness, and social personality, he will have so much fun continuing to learn new things with his future family. Arlo’s ideal home would be with a semi-active family and a backyard where he can run, stretch those long legs, play with toys, and find the perfect sunny spot for an afternoon nap. Picture weekend hikes with Arlo happily trotting beside you, patio lunches where he charms everyone he meets, and trips around town with his fluffy head poking out of the car window. After a day of adventures, he will be just as happy coming home, settling in with his people, and soaking up all the affection he can get. Arlo is beautiful on the outside, but his joyful personality is what will truly make you fall in love. He is ready to bring laughter, adventure, affection, and an endless supply of sunshine into his forever home. We are willing to test Arlo with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.    The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Story
Russell Scruff has the kind of sweet, scruffy face that makes you want to scoop him up and tell him everything is going to be okay. With his tousled fur, gentle eyes, and quiet little personality, he has a way of pulling at your heart without even trying. He may be a little shy when you first meet him, but watching him gather the courage to take tiny baby steps toward you for affection makes earning his trust feel incredibly special. Once he gets close enough for those first ear scratches, you’ll quickly see just how sweet this little guy truly is. Watch his video and fall in love with his adorable scruffy face: https://youtu.be/f5cHeD_tXcc?si=TTXwRmUf6qpl7r-9 Russell is approximately 1 year old and currently weighs around 20 pounds. We believe he may be a Terrier mix, but with animal rescue, breed and age are always a mystery and our best guesses. Whatever his DNA may be, it certainly gave him an irresistible face and the perfect compact size! Russell is dog friendly and is currently being fostered in a home with other dogs, including dogs much bigger than he is. His foster has shared that everyone gets along great together. Having friendly canine companions around may even help Russell feel more comfortable as he settles into a new environment. Personality-wise, Russell is calm, gentle, and incredibly sweet. He is a sensitive little guy who needs a bit of time to warm up, but he wants affection and will slowly work up the courage to ask for it. He’ll take a few careful baby steps toward you, pause to make sure everything is safe, and then inch a little closer until he is finally within ear-scratching distance. It is such a tender, endearing way of asking for love, and once you see it, you’ll want to give him all the scratches he could ever ask for. Russell is crate trained, and his foster has shared that he sleeps through the night in his crate. From what we have seen so far, he also seems to understand where the appropriate place to go potty is. As with any rescue dog entering a new home and routine, he may need a little patience and consistency while he adjusts. Russell would love a calm, patient home where he can settle in at his own pace and learn that he is safe and loved. Give him a little time, plenty of gentle encouragement, and unlimited ear scratches, and this sweet scruffy boy will reward you with a truly special kind of love. We are willing to test Russell with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
